RUDEBOY_ParticipantChicago Tribune is reporting the Bulls are interested in signing guard Patrick Beverly..Beverly was waived by the Heat on monday..The Bulls cant sign Beverly until he clears waivers on thursday, unless they want to absord the 1.3 million dollar deal on his 2 year contract he signed with the Heat…They want to use him as a 3rd guard..The Tribune also reporting the Bulls were hoping Patty Mills would be waived by Portland..But he’s still on their 15 man roster….
*I dont think Beverly is ready to contribute consistently on the nba level right now..Going overseas or spending a little more time in the D-League to work on his weaknesses will do him good…He struggles against bigger stronger guards and doesnt have pure point guard skills at running an offense…But his defense is already on the nba level..

JoeWolf1I really like his potential, he is aways away from running the point in the NBA, but he has a lot of aspects of his game that remind me of Rondo( not on the same level, but similar styles), like his length, rebounding ability, and defense. I personally think after 2 years of playing overseas just being the 3rd point guard for an NBA team and playing limited minutes and practicing against a guy like Derrick Rose everyday would be best for his development and confidence right now, I don’t think sending him overseas and bringing him back next summer will do anything more for him that he couldn’t do in limited minutes and practice against NBA players. I hope the Bulls can pick him up.
