Big O is my all time favorite player…but idk if I would agree with him here. I am more on his side than Barkley and Jordan though.

mikeyvthedonParticipantBarkley is a hypocrite, that we damn well know (What was Phoenix and than Houston Charles?). Michael was never in a similar situation, as Magic and Bird were very close to the end of their unfortunately shortened careers. It was a different time, and honestly, who cares about what people are saying right now before Miami has even had a chance to play together for a season, much less the 3-4 they are likely to play together. Yes, what LeBron did with "The Decision", was ridiculous, it was in poor taste and just kind of rubbed it in. But the fact that he chose to play in Miami, well, I think people that have a problem with that are just afraid that it might be a team that can not be beat for a few years. I still think the Lakers team is better on paper, and better from players 4-8, but when you have three players of James, Wade and Bosh’s caliber, they will always keep your team contending. People either wanted LeBron to be Jordan or to fail to be Jordan. He almost took option C, he is not trying to be Jordan and he is trying to win a number of championships with some great players he enjoys playing with. As much as it is about competition, we have seen over NBA history that building a winning team is very difficult, and the guys that signed with Miami are just trying to win championships. It will just get teams trying that much harder to beat them and go after them, just like they have gone after the Lakers. I do not know why it is not ok for these guys to play on the same team, it is still going to be a struggle to win. Their are some great teams in the NBA, and it will take more than the big 3 for the Heat to win titles, it will require a team effort to take down the Celtics, Lakers and Magic. Why are people so against these 3 players playing together? Has it made the NBA any less interesting? I personally think it has made it even more intriguing.

llperezwait, did the big o just say lebron is better then jordan? Its certainly his opinion, but we all know guys are largely judged on rings.
As for barkley’s comments, i think barkley has always taken the tough guy role and when michael and magic made their comments and lebron said he was gonna remember everything everyone was saying, barkley sort of tried to step up and be like im gonna say what they said and say it louder and you can come at me first. Thats just his attitude.
As for lebron, i’ve come to the opinion that i really dont care that he left for miami and joined wade and bosh. Hes doing what makes him happy and when its all said and done, titles will quiet everyone down. Im sure hes looking at people saying he isnt on jordan’s level, or he’s seeing the attention kobe’s getting and he’s thinking to himself "shoot, give me all-stars and hall of fame guys to play with". He wants titles and not sure anyone cant fault him for that. Now if he doesnt win titles, well….
