JNixonParticipantHe looked poor in the Orlando Summer League. I thought Orlando would keep Ptrick Ewing Jr over him, but Ewing Jr. is fighting for a spot on the Knicks roster nowadays

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIts funny how announcers and media types can hype up certain players..And some fans hear that and think a player is better then what he really is..Some publications had him as a possible lottery pick 2 years ago..I’ve always thought he was a bit overrated..But i loved the way he attacked the board..There were a few times when i watched him play at UConn he seemed to lose focus on what was going on around him..I remember coach Calhoun getting upset and sometimes benching him for an entire half..I still think he has a future in the nba..But he needs to go overseas or spend some a year or 2 in the D-League to learn to create his shot, get a better feel for the game and learn what his strengths & weaknesses are..He’s a tweener and those kind of players always should some type of skill that makes them attractive to teams..Robinson is a poor ball handler and poor shooter…But i love his intensity..

JNixonParticipantHe honestly reminds me of Jamario Moon, and he might have to take a similar (although not likely as winding) journey to make it on NBA teams. He’d need a few breaks to get the opportunities Moon has gotten, but Robinson’s athleticism might help him a bit in the eyes of teams in the future.

Zeke33ParticipantJamario Moon is much better offensivly than Robinson but i see how u can compare them as far as build and agility. I never thought Robinson was an NBA player. hes a great athlete but no IQ and not enough guard skills to stay in the league. hes a project. i hope the best for him but i just dont see where he can be effective in the NBA

Cardinal_FanParticipantHe was over hyped but u can think the likes of Dicky V for that, his game was always very raw, but loved to watch him when he was flyin around the rim. One of the most exciting players to watch in college basketball last season

SupParticipantUconn should have developed his talents a little more. NBA all star potential.

nuffsaid_2001ParticipantThese athlete type players are great in the play offs..No IQ but great defensively and provide a spark. Orlando is missing the ball to me, they need some more athletes they have all there skills players and vince carter is no longer a super athlete

HitsterParticipantRobinson had looked like a nice steal for Orlando at 59th in the draft as he had been projected as an early to mid 2nd rounder. Things obviously didn’t work out though as Orlando would have been an ideal team for him to develop on as maybe someone outside of their 12 man roster who they could have sent to D-League and then benefitted from any upside in due course.
With the season due to start in a couple of weeks, Robinson will find it hard to get on another roster before the season starts so may have to down the D-League route anyway this season unless he can get a decent overseas gig.

sheltwon3ParticipantThis season, a lot of teams changed personell and you have a lot of good rookies from this year and last year doing well. Robinson will have a shot if he goes somewhere and refine his game then come back to the NBA. It takes timing sometimes with the NBA. There are tons of quality players that do not get noticed or in the right situation right away. There are players with NBA contracts that Robinson could be better than but there are also players without NBA contracts that are better than Robinson.

Da1potParticipantOrlando is a hard team to make anyway, but I swear that Robinson did not get any better in his season at Uconn. He seemd like the same player every year with a different supporting cast. He is a world class athlete but he was pretty much just a bit bigger Deron Washington- a colege player who relied only on his world-class athleticism and developed a very minimal amount of actual skill and ability. I do think he will be back in the NBA soon though….

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantTo me, he’s the same exact player as Damian James.
Then again, Damian was drafted by the Nets and James is a lot more active than Robinson.
Robinson just seems… lost and careless at times. But other times, he’d give it 120%

JNixonParticipantDamion James is alot better than Stanley Robinson. They also don’t play alike at all, and James has more basketball saavy and hustle.
