sammybuckeye13ParticipantWho would it be? Choose from the ’10 recruiting class only.
I sort of have two teams – Ohio State (who I grew up rooting for) and Syracuse (where I go to school).
For Ohio State, it’s fairly easy. They’ve got plenty of good, potentially great players (Buford, Sullinger, Diebler, Lighty, and Lauderdale’s a good rebounder/shot blocker), but no PG. So for the Bucks I’ll take Kyrie Irving.
Cuse is harder because we’re essentially "decent" at every position, although with Da’Shonte Riley’s injury we’ve lost some depth at center. We have a solid backcourt rotation that I’m satisfied with (Scoop, Triche, Dion Waiters), a very good swingman (Kris Joseph) and some talented reserves (Mookie Jones, James Southerland, C.J. Fair), and down low we’re good with our Rick Jackson/Fab Melo combo. I think Joseph will be good to play 27-30 minutes a game and Mookie and Southerland will be serviceable, so looking at the lack of depth down low either a center or combo big man would be ideal. So I’m gonna go with something semi controversial here. I would take Tobias Harris over Kanter due to Kanter’s ambiguous eligibility and the fact that Harris fits into the scheme much better as a big 3 or a 4 and I’ve loved him since I saw him play (‘Cuse had a shot at him at one point).
Who would you take for you team?

duke2001tyParticipantMy favorite team is Duke. I would have to say either Jared Sullinger or Perry Jones. Sullinger would give us a banger, which is something we don’t have right now. However, Duke’s offense will be playing more uptempo this year so I think Perry Jones would be perfect for that.
Basically our starting lineup would than look like:
C Jones/Sullinger
PF one of the Plumlees or Singler
SF Singler/Curry/Dawkins
SG Smith
PG Irving

stealsgaloreParticipantWell I’m from Oregon and anybody who can play basketball would be helpful at this point. I’d probably pick Terrance Jones just cause its his home state and he’d be a program changer.
My other team is North Carolina and for them it would probably be Josh Selby. I’d pick Selby mostly because it seems he’s the fastest of the elite point guard prospects and would be good for Roy Williams’s system.

Mr. ChicagoParticipantDuke is also my favorite team, however I disagree about the post presence. I like the Plumlee brothers. I think they can do fine in the post with Singler playing some PF as well. I think Harrison Barnes would be my choice. I think he also fits in well with the Duke system (hate to see him in NC Blue, haha). But i also think Sullinger will be extremely effective.
C-Plumlee / Plumlee
PF – Singler / Plumlee
SF – Barnes
SG – Smith / Dawkins
PG – Irving / Curry
That team is long at all the Forward and Center postitions. I think they could really run the high octane offense efficiently since Jay Williams left. I think Kyrie would have a lot of assists to Barnes with this lineup.

Im Your FatherParticipantJust wondering, because that’s my hometown and while there are obviously a lot of UVA basketball fans there, you don’t see many on the internet.

ChewyParticipantcould use Andre Drummond this year. He is still a hs senior, but he is already a man by college standards.

Im Your FatherParticipantWell for Duke, Harrison Barnes was a huge stinger, but since Singler stayed I think it worked out for the best anyway.(Not that Barnes isn’t a baller)
I would also go with Sullinger, we are pretty much stacked at the 1-3 and I think a lineup of:
Irving
Smith
Singler
Mason Plumlee
Sullinger
would complement each other really well.
