I’d rank fellow Houston Rocket Courtney Lee above Chase Budinger. He’s going to get time at 2, maybe 3 different positions. PG and SG, and maybe SF if they go small.
His defense is well-talked about and I see a lot of offensive potential. If he can hit the three and stretch the floor with Yao I’d expect him to average 10-15 points easily and more; and he’s a very good slasher, something Rick Aldeman loves to use and with great passing bigs like Hayes, Miller, and Yao he should get some easy buckets. I think his defense will also put him up there in the 6th Man of the Year discussion, of the players you have listed, all only score points really besides L.O. and Randolph.

Can’t be bothered writing it all out again; covered MVP, MIP, and DPoY in my blog

Didn’t get around to ROY, but just based on how dominant Griffin has been in pre-season he’s going to be a lock. Could even be in the running for an All-Star year at the forward spot with Amare gone East.

oden07, you seem to like Greg Oden

But I don’t think he’ll be the MiP. I saw him on photos and I think the Blazers said that he lost a lot of weight. He doesn’t look in shape at all. I think the maximum Oden can hope for this season is: health, to play around 20-26mpg and avg around 9ppg 7rpg and 1,3.bpg and to play like 50games. It doesn’t look like he’ll be ready to start this season. I still think that he can turn to a solid starter but I don’t think that he’ll ever be a gamechanging superstar.

I think the MVP voting will look more like.

    1. Kobe Bryant

    2. LeBron James

    3. Rajon Rondo

    4. Dwight Howard

    5. Carlos Boozer

predicting big things this year for my 3 and 5 picks.

chrischi, he LED the LEAGUE in blocks last year on limited minutes… gettin almost 3 per game… then he got injured… and remember that was coming off an injury too… and when your injured you cant do anything so of course he looked out of shape..

i would agree completely that if he got enough time and stayed healthy he would not only make a run at most improved, but defensive player as well…

    MVP:

Winner: Kevin Durant- Depends on how far the Thunder go really. If they can get the 2nd or 3rd seed in the West, then I think he would be a lock

    2nd LeBron James

    3rd Kobe Bryant

    4th Dwight Howard

    5th Deron Williams

    Rookie:

Winner: Demarcus Cousins- He’s already shown he can score and has better post moves than the gentleman who won DPOY 2 times already. Rebounding will put him over the hump. If he averages 8-9 boards he’s a lock IMO.

    2nd John Wall

    3rd Blake Griffin

    4th Wesley Johnson

    5th Evan Turner

    Most Improved:

Winner: Greg Oden-if hes healthy he will prove to be dominant

    2nd Michael Beasley

    3rd JJ Hickson

    4th Eric Gordon

    5th Paul Milsap

    Defensive Player:

    Winner: Dwight Howard

    2nd Gerald Wallace

    3rd Chris Andersen

    4th Rajon Rondo

    5th Chris Paul

    6th man:

Winner: Ben Gordon- if he can stay healthy

    2nd Jamal Crawford

    3rd Anthony Randolph

    4th Jason Terry

    5th Lamar Odom
