Yeah you have to change your strategy. On 2k9 and 2k10 you can pwn every defense by just using pick and roll and get like 60-70 FG% for the two players picking and rolling.

On 2k11 especially if you play on simulation (with more realistic sliders) you have to settle for more jumpers. But with the new controls its actually not that hard, you just have to get used to it. Passing is a lot harder also.

Wouldn’t it be even more realisitic if you couldn’t get realistic scores unless you play 10-12 minute quarters.  I don’t understand your logic.  And if the games to hard for you, either step your game up or go play rookie.  To win on HOF or Superstar you need to play D, don’t make stupid decisions, and play within the flow of the game.  By far the most realisitc sports game I have ever seen.

i suck at it. I play pro and win about half my games. I do 12 minutes quarters and get about 100 points, so its very realistic which i like. Unfortunately, i broke it and im trying to decide if i want to fork out another 60 bucks for another one.

yeah, i was playing and it froze and i got frustrated and tapped the top of my 360 and the disc jumped and got all scratched up. Pretty crappy.

– Try putting toothpaste on it.  Scrub it in lightly, wash it off with cold water. 

– Buy a used copy from gamestop, switch copies of the disc, and then return it saying it didn’t work, "it said it couldn’t read the disc". Or do the same thing renting it from a blockbuster.

The game does have some really tough game play but I have not had the time to really work at it.  Pretty much everything Chrischi said is right on about the game.

i just play my player 12mins HOF i got drafted 8th by the clippers and of course the jordan challenges.

If the game doesn’t have deep scratches maybe you can take it to a video store. They tend to have high end equipment that will resurface the game. Worst case they charge you a couple of bucks. Best case it’s free. Gamestop should have the same equipment, but I’m not sure how much they are going to help considering they are trying to get you to buy new games or used games that are about $5 cheaper than the brand new ones.

i play on all star 9 min quarters and score like 75, i havent won a game yet but i keep playing. im using the okc thunder and kevin durant and russell westbrook get theirs, i traded for eric gordon who is very good in the game, cole aldrich is getting like 3 blocks per game. all in all i think im close to getting my first win. ive noticed that to be most effective you have to take advantages of mismatches. i also traded for andray blatche and when he plays against center like shaq for example, you can take him off the dribble fairly easily and get to the rim. or when a point guard switches out on durant i can shoot over them with ease and usually make them. you really do need to practice and get better.

I absoultely LOVE it. you have to play patient and exploit mismatches and find a team with good balance and solid team Defense.

i have beaten the computer on HOF simulation a few times ( not really any good teams though… toronto, clippers and t-wolves) but i use portland… in this game u gotta use ur mismatches and im starting to realize that posting up actually will help ur offence a lot as long u know what ur doing in the post… u have to use icon passing and play ur ass of on defence… the computer will eventually start missing some shots and thats when u gotta make ur run, so just make sure u contest every shot…. and u have to score with players doing what they do ( aldrige has really nice midrange)…. even though u are taking ur loses u gotta hang in there lol…. and eventually u’ll learn what to do during the game to win lol

 I play 8 minute quarters on HOF at a fast speed and I get around 80-90 points a game. The games are generally close and its about even of whether I win or loose. Its not too hard and nor is it too easy. I just wish they would have all of the lottery pick rookies like Wesley Johnson and Xavier Henry. I have the PS2 version but those two should definitely be there but aren’t 🙁

For instance in the "My Player Mode" with the Heat and my teammates are stupid as shit. I play on HoF but all the big three do is dribbling and taking step back jumpers or "drifters". Miller catches the ball behind the three point line and is open. Instead of shooting he puts the ball on the floor and takes a long two. No plays are called automatically, but I as a center can call plays. The coaches again are even more stupid than the players. My Team is behind by 5 points with 5 minutes left to play. And our lineup looks like this:
