The rotation won’t be as clogged now at the sg/sf position. I thought Graves brought a lot of toughness and 3 pt shooting. I expect Barnes to play a little 4 now and I think we will see more of Leslie McDonald and Strickland.

Yeah, McDonald, Barnes and even Reggie Bullock will see time as SG/SF now. This frees up time for all 3 and should allow UNC to have some lineup flexibility on the wing.

anything that frees up more time for barnes should be good, right? lol. but seriously 10ppg lost is a big deal and even though it frees up time for a guy like barnes this cant help their chances at an acc title or even a tournament birth after a disappointing season last year.

I wasn’t a fan of graves game…He was too slow for the wing and was simply and standstill 3 point shooter who couldn’t guard anyone…for every three he hit he gave up two back door cuts for layups. This should free up our guys who need the experience. Bullock and strick are already better than him.

Yeah losing Graves will hurt but they have plenty of options in the backcourt. Bullock looked better than I expected over the summer. Not to mention Graves has continuously gotten into trouble so it could be a case of addition by subtraction.
