I’m watching this NY training camp and the guys were discussing Raymond Felton. When you think about it: He’s probably the best PG NY has had. Chris Duhon was a stroke of luck but he was a backup.
I’m not saying Raymond Felton will be a star. What I’m saying is, he’s coming from Charlotte where he was the lead guard and had to share his PT. I think coming to NY, he’s going to get his min (33-37mpg) and he’s actually a leader. I think he will know when to slow down the tempo as well.
I think he could have a 14ppg, 3rpg, 9apg season next year
Thoughts?

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAlso, before you start. I like this NY team even with or without Carmelo. I just have a feeling that this is a good team AND D’antoni is looking to open the rotation due to all the talent. He’s looking to have a 9-10 man rotation.
I’m excited but realistic for the Knicks this season.

dude shot 37% last year and averaged 7 ppg, 5 apg in 30 minutes! talk about unproductive

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantYea, I remember when they signed Duhon. He wasn’t someone I wanted as a starter but you know what, I thought he was a alright Knick but he was a NBA backup.

llperezfelton is solid and has proven he can start on a playoff team and help win games. I htink about 14ppg and 7 apg are about right. But at the same time, if felton is your starting pg, the gm should always have his head up looking around for the next guy cause i dont think felton is the type of player where you sit back and say yeah we are now set at pg for the long haul.

McWinningParticipantHes a decent player but i argee theres a lot of better options out there, he just needs to play better defense than he did last year (especially in the playoffs).
I still think a prime Marbury was easily better.

JNixonParticipantI expect like 13 ppg, 7 or 8 apg, and for him to shoot in the low 40%. He also will continue to be a below average defensive player. He’s better than Chris Duhon, and he’s got the speed and playmaking ability to have an OK impact in the NY offense, but he’s not the next Steve Nash in the D’Antoni offense or anything.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI also expect him to have a huge season. D’antoni System is tailor made for Felton. This could be his best year. He’s already been made team captain as well as Amare, that should make him happy. I’m expecting about 17pts 7asts, and 1-2 steals per game. He is on one of my fantasy league teams and about to be added full time to my Fantasy Keeper league team.

Felton is average and will flourish in the up and down system

Michael.S.Participantyep, but I checked the prices for the Heat @ Nets and they are much more reasonable. I am just go with my brother and take the 2 hour drive to watch the game. The Knicks game will definitely be better but I can settle for the Nets. Check those if your interested. Stubhub.
