canesboy6ParticipantCant wait for the season to start. I’m seeing this new side of Lebron that I think will translate to the court. He is focused, and trying to downplay it, but seems legitamately hurt by all the criticism. In interviews and practice reports, he sounds angry and edgier than in past years. I’ve never seen him fired up like this, and I know that he is just going to eat people once the season starts. He looks even a little bit bigger.
For all my real Heat fans, we got it this year! We gettin Riley a ring on each finger too, by the time were done.

JoeWolf1I’m excited for basketball, but as for all my non Heat fans, I’m tired of hearing about the Heat, lol

SteroidParticipantHe should have been fired up. It shouldn’t take critisim to make a person play passionate. I mean use whatever motivation you need to do something passionately, but don’t wait until 7 or so years into your career to all of a sudden get a chip on your shoulder. Everyone in their right mind, including yourself, knows you’re the best player in the world, and you still haven’t won a championship. That in itself should be enough motivation.

Mr. 19134ParticipantWell said Steroid
And LeBron does look bigger, am I the only person who thinks he may be a little too big for a wing man. There’s only so big you can get before you start to compromise speed and he has to be tip toeing that line. From an Eye test LeBron looks easily 265.

gregoden08ParticipantLBJ has been that big for a while dude. He is one of the fastest wings in basketball…He’s a freak of nature.

llperezim really looking forward to this season and seeing the heat and how they play. Ill be rooting against them, but as i fan i think they are gonna be fun as hell to watch and probably win about 65 games. Lebron should be mad and use the criticism as motivation, but i would hope that he has always had reason for motivation as every great player should regardless of circumstances.

billykParticipantLebron James has had every major accolade an NBA player can have combined with the fact that he has dominated the league ever since his third, so I think he is a pretty motivated person… He has put up video games stats since he has entered the NBA, I think he smells championships NOT one but several championships and he is focused.. Its natural for athletes to use critcism for EXTRA motivation, Jordan was notorious for using ANYTHING for extra motivation..

NYK2010ParticipantHe trimmed down from 09 to last year looks about the same now he’s gotta be 6’9" looks really close to Bosh’s size in length.
As much as I can’t stand Riley this is bigger than him and I’ll be rooting for the Heat except when their playing the Knicks and def. over the Celtics, and Lakers.
The Lakers, Celtics, Spurs have won titles time for Lebron to get a ring if not him maybe Dirk and Kidd.
Still if anyone blames Lebron for leaving wake up the Cavs had 7 years to put a legit 2nd scorer, a top coach and a real supporting cast around him and failed. They never put a player on the roster anywhere near Bosh, Wade his supporting cast starters were closer to Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem actually.

Toronto16ParticipantI’m more excited to watch Kevin Durant than Lebron James.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLet’s be honest here lol… I can’t stand LeBron either, but there’s no way you’re more excited to watch Kevin Durant and the Thunder than LeBron, Wade, Bosh and the Heat.
LeBron, Wade and Bosh will be competing against each other in practice at a high level… Imagine how much better they’re going to be. They’re ALL practicing with a chip.
I think they have some question marks (point guard and center… how LeBron/Wade, two ball dominant players, will co-exist… how they’ll get Bosh involved), but they’ll be the most exciting team to watch since Jordan, Pippen and the Bulls in my opinion.

Toronto16ParticipantI never said than the entire Heat team. Kevin Durant is my favourite player, so I am more excited to watch him than James. Just because YOU want to watch Lebron doesn’t mean everybody thinks the same way as you. You may not know this, but people are made differently.

TheWizardParticipantThe team I am most excited to watch this year is definitely the Heat, but outside the top teamsI would have to go with the Kings. I may be somewhat biased, but I am really curious to how much of an improvement they are going to make this year. This offseason, they turned from a scrapper defense to a big man presence in the paint defense. Wth the addition of Dalembert and Pooh Jeter, they have really changed the dynamics of their team.
I can see Jeter being a JJBarea/BJackson tempo changer off the bench. Also, instead of a pass-first bigman, well known to Sacramento, they have finally gotten a prolific shotblocker in Dalembert and an all-around talent in Cousins.
Another team I am curious to see is The New Jersey Nets. They have finally gotten the inside-outside game they have been trying to accomplish with Morrow and Murphy who can step outide the three-line and knock them down. If Favors shoiws vast imrovement this year and contributes off the bench, the Nets would soon have a very deep frontcourt.

JoeWolf1I love the Lebron’s size legend status. He’s gotta be 6’9” now? The dude is 25, how many 25 year old’s do you know that are still growing? Plus, he looked about 21 when he graduated high school, I’m pretty sure he was done growing taller at 18. I still think Bosh is noticably taller and Lebron is 6’8” in sneakers like he was at the combine.
Some players have legendary status with the physical prowess, like how Wilt Chamberlain could bench 500 lbs, had a 50” vert and slept with 25,000 women. Although he was a very impressive athlete and man whore, I feel all of those are exaggerations.
Lebron is still playing and although he is a fantastic physical specimen. The dude isn’t growing at 25 years old, he’s 6’8” in shoes, maybe 6’8 1/4” in a pair of shoes with bigger soles.

Mr. 19134ParticipantNo LeBron hasn’t been this big for awile. LeBron has always been big, and fast, in fact freakishly fast for his size.
When he came into the League he weighed about 235-240
As his body matured over the past few years he has been playing at about 250.
This year he looks like he’s close to 260. The Heat have a great strength training coach, just look at how big Wade has gotten over the years. And it looks like LeBron has been hanging around him too much. If you go to the Heats website they got video of them working out.

JoeWolf1Yeah, as said in my post, I only mentioned his height. I don’t believe he is any taller than he was when he came into the league and he certainly didn’t sprout another inch at 25 years old.
He has noticably bulked up over the years without losing quickness or speed. I haven’t seen a pic of him lately, he very well could be 260 or 260 with his frame, but I was only commenting on his height.

SteroidParticipantBut at the same time, Jordan’s drive was on a whole other level than LeBron’s drive. There is no comparison there.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantJust a little thing- I love Steroid’s pic. I guess going 6/24 equals Rape lol
I think LBJ will dominate the NBA this upcoming season. I picked him for my MVP and he should have all those doubters in mind. If I was him, I’d go full villian: No pregame comments, no one is gonna know what I’m thinking at all times except my teammates.

plasticmanParticipantI’m a Lebron fan i guess, but I’m sick of hearing his name right now. It will be interesting to see the Heat this year, but I’m also just as excited to see how other teams develop; especially Durant and company, and Sactown. KD is like nothing we have ever seen, just an unbelievable talent (Lebron is too of course). Now if Lebron is allowed to run the point Magic style, I will concede that they are the most exciting team in sports…
