So I just played a NBA2K11 Demo.

Did you just base that entire thing up off of a 1 quarter demo of NBA 2K11?

To each his own. I’m still gonna blow off class/basketball/gym the day that 2K11 comes out; and maybe the day after that.

With 2k its always best to wait until a good set of rosters/sliders are available to download

i’ve played elite and i’ve played 2k and yea maybe bad players hit random shots but i get angrier when someone like carlos boozer dunks from the free throw line lol. thats just pathetic gameplay and so unrealistic lol.

Yeah, 2K always has a lot of bugs when it first comes out. I usually have to wait until January to have them all fixed via update from Xbox Live.

It looks like a giant piece of shlt and I would never ever buy it. I think elite downgraded big time on gameplay but they did upgrade their graphics. 2k upgraded almost everything. Has the EA Demo come out yet? because everyone on every single forum I go to is saying that 2k WILL be the better game and will have way better sales. Its ridiculous. And im guessing you haven’t heard of EA’s 3 year plan right? Go search that up, basicly there admitting that there game isn’t better than the competitions lol.

2K Added everything, The jordan challenged, revamped the controls, improved associations, and the best of all, better gameplay.
What has EA Done?
Added the Real time physics, Which im pretty sure will be a fail.
Live 10 was a decent game, they shouldnt have revamped it.

Come on I wanna see Elite make a great title too just so I have some basketball variation. And I’m sick of how off the rosters are. Am i the only one that edits like almost ever single player in the league because in 2k some guys ratings r just sickeningly off they all have atleast one attribute that is terribly rated. And they dont know what to do with people like Rodney Carney, Joe Alexander, and Sonny Weems, guys who are super fast and athletic but have no real basketball skill. Like all of those guys I mentioned speed should be aboved a 90 just check the combine but if you put them at that in the game they will dominate but if not they are not realistic. There also should be a difference with actual speed, and with the ball speed because some guys are just way quicker with the ball but don’t test out fast. Like Jrue Holiday is faster with the ball then Eric Gordon but Gordon is one of the best athlete in the league.

My bad I didn’t finish what I was saying. Elite is obviously not on par with 2k yet but it wont be a bad game. I can see Elite getting like a 7.8 from IGN and 2k11 getting an 8.6.

LMFAOOOOOO i was in tears!! I was playing 2k back when everybody was still into Live.. like Iverson on the first couple covers back.. glad to see 95% of ya’ll love it too!!!

2k11 looked nice but when I played I just could not get into like I wanted. At one point the Live series had a pretty cool game play system until they screwed it up/. I hope Elite can bring back the good and eliminate the bad

How so you have the NBA Elite demo

With players having one particular attribute really high. For example, Shannon Brown is a 74 in my 2k and I can easily average 20+ PPG with him because he can dunk really well. We all know he isnt that good but some attributes make them unstoppable. Another player is JR Smith, I can score 40 on almost anyone with him because he can shoot 3’s and dunk really well. In that respect, 2K should fix attributes.

How in the world can EA put out a game with glitches THAT BAD?!?!?! That looks horrible on their part. No doubt 2K had its glitches and Im sure 2k11 isnt perfect, but seriously! I think they are actually TRYING to dead the NBA on EA franchise. I had heard stories about it, and didnt believe NBA Elite could have possibly been that bad, but this just put me over the top.

Ever since Live added that playmaker feature that had Steve Francis jumping from the free throw line, they have been on the decline. 2K has always been more realistic as far as gameplay and play calling. Live just adds a bunch of unbelievable features (i.e. Baron Davis dunking baseline WITH fatigue on). I dont know what kind of promotion your trying to do Mr Knick, but it aint working lol

It was the superstar feature that killed Live for me… Plus the fact that 2K’s graphics on 360 were rediculous compared to anything else in 2006

As far as the 2K11 demo i noticed they changed some of the controls

RB- used to be double team now it brings up passer icons(Still dont knoe what they changed double team to)
Pushing up on the right analog stick(Defense)- used to make the defender put his hands up to defend the shot
LT+A- used to be alley oop they changed it to RT+B i think

This just means ima have to do alot of practicing

BTW if anyone wants to lose in 2K to the Thunder woopings are free of charge just get at me …lol

Do you know if we can use fake passes in 2K11? I need something to counteract all those dick-buckets that like to roam around and try to pick off passes. I swear, I’ve played against people online who would just stand near my best player and mash the X button.

Yeah in 2k10, athletic players do tend to dominate more than than the ones who are less athletic, but if you can score 20+ points with Shannon Brown, just by driving to the hoop and dunking almost every time, then you should turn up the difficulty. Playing on higher difficulties will make it much harder to dominate a game with a low rated player. You can’t drive to the basket with ease anymore, and timing shots matter a lot more too. If that doesn’t solve the problem, then there are a lot of sliders that you can adjust to make the game more challenging for you. An experienced player can easily take advantage on the computer with default settings.

I only play on Hall of Fame. I admit I play it a lot but I was trying to make a point too lol.

Also on 2k, when you play against the computer I sometimes fullpress and double the point guard on the inbound and wait for the SG to pass to the PG for the steal. 2k needs to make the players smarter as far as that because in real life a SG wouldn’t just stand there and wait for the PG to get open.
