don042488ParticipantAnyone knows if Dampier decided to go to the Heat or Rockets yet?

TheWizardParticipantAccording to the rumors, the Rockets and the Heat are the front-runners.

Mr. JewboyParticipanti hope he signs with the heat
he will be their only legitamate defender for the likes of dwight howard and andrew bynum, therefore i believe he will be an excellent addition to them0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/20/2010 - 5:22am #404373

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIf he indeed goes to the Heat, I think that tops it off. The main problem the Heat have been having is the lack of a starting center. Erick Dampier fits the bill perfectly, a defensive big to compliment Bosh as he did in Dallas with Dirk.

PlatypusParticipantNew Orleans needs to jump on this he would be the Defensive big that they are missing

torontoraptors10ParticipantI am pretty sure Dampier will sign with the Heat because they are the favourites to win the championship. Do the Hornets or Rockets have more money to pay Dampier as opposed to the Heat?

TooNice4TVParticipantmade more than enough cash throughout his career. If he signs with Houston, he’s going to share PT with Yao getting 24, Brad Miller getting another 20, and Damp getting the bummy 4.
If he goes to the Heat, he’ll get his minutes and best shot to win the championship.

Mr. JewboyParticipanti read that the rockets are offering dampier about a 4.5-5 million contract for two years while the heat are only offering the vet’s minimum(which is about a million less than the rockets’ offer)

stepback3ParticipantCan someone tell me how many guaranteed contracts Miami has.
Would signing Dampier stop DeSean Bulter From getting a contract?0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/20/2010 - 11:10am #404452
sacphil_08ParticipantErik dampier would be a great addition but his best days are far behind him. He’s very immobile defensively. He’s one of the main reasons why dallas lost to the spurs in the playoffs last season. He is a big body and will help them but in terms of working towards a championship, I just don’t see it. He falls for every pump fake, he cant run the floor well, he is no more than a ‘big body’

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantThe Heat should be able to add him and probably cut Hasbrough and or Randolph
