OhCanada-ParticipantJordan Crawford? He is muich more fundemental then Crawford, he reminds me of Eric Gordon. Looks like the type of player Calipari “wanted” Bledsoe to be.

ilike.panochasParticipantHes a good prospect, but I only see average athleticism in Beal, hes not in Eric Gordon level. Jordan Crawford is a fair comparison.

hiphopismylifeParticipantYeah a poor man’s Eric Gordon is as good as I can do for a comparison. Just a straight up scorer. Not as explosive or strong yet but more middle game and higher IQ.

flybobbyflyParticipantgreat high school player. im not gonna go and compare him to guys that are in the nba and succeeding. This kids potential isnt so extreme that he gets mentioned with those guys right now.

JNixonParticipantI don’t get why he gets compared to Eric Gordon. He’s not nearly as strong or as athletic as Gordon. He’s also less of a slasher.

gregoden08ParticipantI think that Beal is very underrated as a prospect.
He is MUCH more athletic than you people give him credit for. I don’t see the Jordan Crawford comparison AT ALL because Beal has a much better jump shot and has a higher b-ball IQ.
He is undersized at the sg spot, but that is becoming more of a trend in today’s NBA game so it won’t be as big of as an adjustment for him compared to say 15 years ago.

JNixonParticipantHe does not have a much better jump shot than Jordan Crawford smh. Crawford isn’t just some bad shooter. He’s pretty good from mid and long range. And he’s not more than average athletically or in terms of his basketball IQ. He also is a shaky ball-handler who will have trouble getting to the rim against any respectable defenders at the college and NBA level if he makes it that far.

hiphopismylifeParticipantJnixon I dont think many people see him as a carbon copy of Gordon. But I think it’s just the best they can do and he is tracking in a similar fashion. Gordon became much more of a slasher his last year of high school when he added more weight. Beal is getting stronger and stronger and will continue to improve as a slasher. Earlier in his career Gordon was more of a stationery shooter until he added that weight. I agree though they’re not that similar. But both similar size scorers at the end of the day and efficient at the high school level.

hiphopismylifeParticipantU know what you’re right Jordan Crawford is actually a better comparison. Maybe not as dynamic

JNixonParticipantI don’t see Eric Gordon at all. I promise he’s more like Jordan Crawford than he is Eric Gordon. He’s not nearly as athletic or as strong a slasher as Gordon. Beal is a guy who likes to shoot shots on the perimeter, either spotting up, off screens, or off a few stationary dribbles more than he likes to slash to the rim by creating his own shots. He can get to the rim some, but not like an Eric Gordon can. It’s not like being compared to Crawford is a death sentence anyway lol, the guy was a 1st round pick and a prolific scorer and very good shooter last season for Xavier.

stanford hoopsHe’s more athletic then fans give him
credit for. After watching the u17 thing I had to change my view on his athletic ability. He’s pretty good at getting to the hole as well. Most sites compare him to gordan. Of course it’s not exact because no comparisons are but it’s pretty fair0 - Posted on: Fri, 09/17/2010 - 11:58am #403662

GrandmamaParticipantHe’s far from “hella raw”….also don’t see Jordan Crawford…average size, average athleticism, short wingspan, good shooter, ok handles. I see Beal as nothing more than a role player in the League.
