    But even without the vid iremember the game well. He had 18 points and a lot of people thought he could win mvp but george karl sat him for the last 18 minutes of the game. He also got under karl malones skin becasue he told malone to clear out when malone came to set a screen and malone made some comments after the game that no teenager should talk to him like that.

    Damn thats messed up tellin an All-Time great to clear out.
    Typical George Karl too he was coach of the West when they didn’t allowe Shaq a few yrs earlier to make baskets they just kept fouling him.

    MVP didn’t MJ win it that year in the All Star Game, no way anyone else was going to beat him out back then.

    I’ve seen that game on NBA TV a bunch of times, Kobe had some pretty damn nice highlights. I remember he did some crazy ass dribble move (that was more than likely a travel, but oh well) that led into a semi-hookshot from the corner lol

    But…yeah MJ owned him after a couple of nice plays.
