The same guys are not coming back. They will need a ton of replacements. Paul, Kobe, James, Wade, Williams, Bosh and maybe Howard won’t play. All of them will be at that point where it’s time to think getting Titles over defending Medals.

I agree. I would rather start KD at the 4 just because of his length compared to Carmelo. I think that he can score just as well, but defensively KD has taht 7’5″ wingspan that helps him.

I think the Miami three will play if they are guarenteed all to start (kinda a stretch for them). Paul probably won’t unless he is traded and signs an extension. Kobe might but he will be a bit old by then and may just want to rest, but I wouldn’t be suprised to see him so he can prove he still has great endurance at his age.

Just because they are comming back doesn’t mean they will all make team. after the strong showing of these younger players at the world championships, and likely a young team at next years Fiba Americas. there will be a strong push for roster spots and these guys will all have to prove they belong.

there are 3 players no one is mentioning that i think deserve to at least get mentioned:
1-blake griffin- i think he wants to play for the US, so i see him possibly making it to the 2012 and we saw that big men are hard to find as mcgee(!!!)almost made the team
2- john wall will be something special and has a chance to make it
3-andre iguodala- he’s quietly havin an excellent tournament, and might be the best wing defender in the league and is one of the best finishers on the fast break-which is how the USA likes to play
