PLEEEEAAASSSSSEEEE PLEASSSSSEE!!!!!! Chicago, don’t trade JOAKIM NOAH for Melo!!!! I’m going to kiss your foot and ass JUST don’t trade Noah… Melo may provide the scoring punch but Joakim provides the Bulls something much bigger than that… A WINNING ATTITUDE AND A LOOOOOT OF HEART… I will be devastated if the Bulls trade Noah down…. Derrick Rose may be the team’s face and franchise but Noah is the heart of the team… The attitude he brings is GODDAMN IMMEASURABLE… People might think he can easily be replaced but OH GOD you have no idea how lucky we, the Bulls fan, are for having a guy who will do everything for WINNING!!!! Please, Gar Foreman and John Paxson… If you two are smart enough, keep Noah…

I agree, melo brings scoring but what noah brings really is immeasurable..who else talked sh*t to lebron james during a game for him dancing, while his team was gettin beat by a big margin..he was the heart and soul of florida when they went back to back and same with these bulls..plus let’s mention he is 7 feet and plays great d is very mobile and has improved every year

Lets get real for a moment:

Joakim Noah is a great hustle player, and he will make any team better just because he trys hard on every possession. With that being said, the bulls desperately NEED a perimeter scorer that can create his own shot because they have no legit perimeter scorer. I don’t really consider D. Rose a perimeter scorer. He is a scorer, but he is sporadic on the perimeter even though he has a decent 18-20 footer. Brewer is a slasher and Korver is a spot up shooter, and he is good coming off screens but nothing else significant. Deng is a slasher, and he isn’t known for his perimeter game. Anthony would boost their offense by a lot. Honestly, rose can’t be their main scorer if they want to win championships… They need a proven scorer, and Anthony gives them that. I would give up Noah, Deng and 1 or 2 picks in a heartbeat for Anthony. There is no getting around it: Anthony gives you much more value than Noah does. They will not beat other good teams in the east come playoff time with Rose being the number one scorer. Noah won’t help a team like Carmelo could. He is a good role player, but role players aren’t valuable unless you have enough talent to win to make their efforts more significant. I’m not saying the Bulls don’t have enough talent, but the Boozer acquisition won’t be near enough for them to be dominate. When you’re trying to compete with juggernauts, and a guy like Anthony is on the trade block, you need to do everything you can to get him. I’m all for Noah, and if the Bulls can keep him, that would be great, but it’s hard not to trade him in that position.

Fizer I couldn’t agree more. Noah is a great team guy for the Bulls. Lets give this roster a shot first without pulling the trigger to bring in Melo. I really like the roster they’ve assembled and unlike Miami who threw all their chips in 3 players and hope the rest all comes together, the Bulls have a solid team. They don’t have a perimter #1 option, but they don’t need one. The have a legit post option now in Boozer, an explosive slasher like Rose, Deng has a great mid range game and with Watson and Korver to shoot from the perimeter they addressed those issues. Noah’s defensive post presense is too important in a league with so few centers. Don’t get me wrong, Melo isnt a dime a dozen guy, but the price is too high when Noah is thrown in.

So you’re saying you’d rather have a “solid team” by having Noah instead of Melo? Sorry to say, but there is only ONE team that I can remember in this era of time where a championship team was SOLID, with no max guys – The pistons.

Solid team’s NEED a GO-TO-GUY, which separates them from becoming a championship caliber team. Do you think that the Thunder could’ve taken the lakers that far in the first round if they had a HEALTHY ODEN instead of a KEVIN DURANT? I don’t think so..it would’ve looked like the cavs and bulls series. Bulls have the low post scorer, the athletic playmaker, now they need the clutch scorer to give them that boost when crunch time comes.

I’m sorry, but honestly, Who the hell is Noah compared to a player like Melo? Please someone show me of a defensive center besides ben wallace (since the pistons were known for their TEAM defense), that has won a championship. If you’re all over for a center on defense, you’d understand that greater offence is better than great defense. Just ask Dwight 2 years ago when they faced kobe and co.

And there’s a difference between a solid team and a championship contending team.. it is the NBA, where the championship means everything, than just a solid team,

Got this off insider this morning. Melo was saying how he would like to go to Houston a couple weeks ago. At this point its all speculation and here’s Derrick Rose’s 2 cents.

Chris Tomasson of FanHouse spoke to Derrick Rose on Friday about the reports that Carmelo Anthony would like to be traded to New York or Chicago. Rose says he is not expecting anything to happen in the near future.

“Right now, I think that we have our team (in order for the season),” Rose said. “If it was something like (a trade for Anthony), I would have heard it (was close) or somebody would have called me. Nobody has called me yet.

“He’s still in Denver. He hasn’t said he wants to leave. So right now, I’m just playing it between the lines and worrying about what’s going on (in Turkey).”

The Nuggets want to talk with Anthony before deciding on any potential trades.

I think the whole point is that they’d be better with Anthony, but they wouldn’t win a championship any more than they will with Noah.

    Honestly, a hustling big guy is more important in the current climate than a perimeter scorer like Melo for these reasons;

    1) Dwight Howard (see: Atlanta Hawks 2010, Cleveland Cavaliers 2009).

    2) Miami 3; the only real weakness Miami have is a lack of a legit C and keeping a young guy around who can outhustle Big Z and Juwan Howard is better in the long run in my opinion. People need to accept that Miami are going to have the best wings in the comp for a long time and that size is the way to beat them.

    3) L.A. Lakers; for the same reason that I think Miami won’t beat L.A. this season I think the Bulls should keep Noah – size matters.

Melo will be a free agent at the end of the season; the Bulls could win it with him, but only if Noah is there too. Stick it out and make your pitch; Deng is a capable starter at the 3 for the time being.

Does anyone else get a vibe from Rose that he doesn’t want/need any superstar help? Seems territorial about being top dog in Chicago.

Melo is a BETTER player than Noah, but Noah brings the type of intangibles (attitude, rebounding, defense) that a team NEEDS to win a championship… Noah compilments Boozer perfectly.. Sometimes its not about getting the BEST player but the RIGHT players for a particular team or system..

So who have the recent championship teams been built around?

Lakers – Kobe, Celtics – “Big 3”, Spurs – Tim Duncan

Like i said, it’s hard to build championship teams without a “superstar”, which is why up till this day, I MISS the old Pistons a few years ago that took it to the stacked Lakers team

Melo isnt in the same CLASS of Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant (and even those players had a very good supporting cast)… Boston put together a great TEAM when they won… Kobe, Duncan and the Big three all brought attitude, rebounding, defense to the table… Melo doesnt reall bring any of those things to the table… Melo is a GREAT player but, I dont think he is as good as a fit for the Bulls as Noah…

So do you think the Bulls will get a better seeding and get farther in the playoffs with Noah than they would with Carmelo?
