lolyouthParticipantYou must not be from here. Larry Bird is one of the greatest players of all time. Don’t try to give some guy putting up meager stats in the Euroleague same-mention status with an NBA Hall of Famer.
Also, the most glaring problem here is the guy shot 18% from 3pt range. Larry Bird is one of the greatest shooters period of all-time, but he definitely shot way better than 18% from 3pt range.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThis kid always tries to give the HIGHEST ceiling possible.
He said Harrison Barnes was the next Jordan because they both went/is going to UNC. SMH
He compared DeMarcus Cousins to Kevin Garnett.

SwatLakeCityParticipantThe last time Larry Bird was used as a comparison it was Adam Morrison. Look where that landed him. Last guy on the Lakers bench, and when he becomes a free agent no team will want him. (Seriously Morrison would do so much better overseas instead of in the NBA) Let’s face it, there is no Larry Bird other than himself. He was just too good that no one could compare to him.

mikeyvthedonParticipantThere is no one playing right now who compares to Larry Bird. I have heard of Melli, and have never heard Bird even come up when his name is mentioned. No one playing the game right now compares to Larry Bird. No one compares to Magic or Michael either, but especially not Bird. Statistically, skill set wise and roles on the team, no one in the NBA would fit those comparisons. Kobe and Michael are vastly different players, but that is the closest one. LeBron has some qualities of Magic, but they play almost entirely different games and have totally different roles. Dirk Nowitzki is the closest thing people tend to compare to Larry Bird, but as I said yesterday, that is a joke. Totally different. Please, please calm down on the comparisons. Maybe compare him to a player that is not a superstar that revolutionized the game, so in that way he may surprise us. But Larry Bird means this kid should be top 5 good at the least.

American_BallerParticipantLarry could beat that kid right now while eating a Big Mac. I saw a commercial where Larry bounced a ball outside an arena, through the window, off the ceiling of an arena while having a friendly game of horse with Michael Jordan. Guess what It was nothing but net!!
No way in HELLLLLLLLLLLL Melli could do that.

Neville15ParticipantYou can’t honestly be comparing a dude who played in THE ITALIAN 2ND LEAGUE to Larry Bird. Sure he is a decent prospect, but really? Comparing him to Larry Bird when he is dropping 10ppg in the 2nd Division? Boy you must be on crack
