    Does anybody know any great places to buy a computer or places to find a great deal?

    I’ve had the same one since my freshman year of college (and that was a hand me down from my parents), so it’s about that time to upgrade. I’ve been to Best Buy, etc and I don’t feel like I’m getting the best deal. I’m not trying to spend a fortune. I just need one for the crib and my main computer uses are music, web surfing, etc.

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Dude how much are you willing to spend?

    I bought my 13 year old nephew an E-Machine..they cost about $250..But you have to buy a Monitor thats compatible to it..you can get them at Wal-Mart..
    They come preloaded..so you dont have to purchase that $200 System Operation CD..
    you can get E-Machines in Windows or just about any other type..

    I bought my 13 year old nephew an E-Machine..they cost about $250..But you have to buy a Monitor thats compatible to it..you can get them at Wal-Mart..

    Bro get an iMac best computer out there. I have owned two Macs in my life. My first one lasted me 7 years and I have the one right now for about three years and no issues yet. In Canadian dollars it is, $1200 around there, but I don’t know how much it would be in USD. This being said, go to Best Buy because I think they’ll match any price and you won’t have to worry about viruses and stuff like that and they are easy to use. iTunes is easy to use for music and you’ll either get Safari or Firefox with the iMac and find them to be MUCH better than Internet Explorer.

    i just go and buy the most expensive one at Sams at the time. Last one i bought was an HP at Sams for 999.99 and it works amazing

    If you are still in school or on a new job don’t buy a Mac. Mac’s are nice for entertainment purposes but a pain with compatibility issues with simple things like Office. Buy a computer from somewhere like Dell’s website. It’s so easy and cheap to build a computer to your specifications without having to spend money on all the unnecessary garbage preloaded on in store computers. As far as actual stores don’t know where you live but you can get great deals at Micro Center.

    I’m not really trying to spend more than $1,200 – $1,500. I’ll look into the E-Machine. My cousin has one of those too and it’s worked well for him.

    I’ve never bought a computer before and was hearing so many different things about different things that I got confused lol. Based on what I’ve heard and found out though, I’ll probably end up just ordering one off of Dell’s website or buying one at Best Buy. I like the fact you can pick and choose what you want on Dell’s site.
