Greece is losing by 20 points to Russia in the beginning of the fourth
To avoid playing the U.S. and Spain in the next round Greece seems to be throwing this game what do yall think about throwing games?

Its pretty shameful but smarter for their survival in the tournament after the warmup agaisnt USA they want no part of that

It’s cowardly, but smart. Realistically if you are Greece you need to do what you can to stay around as long as possible. You might run into the U.S. at some point, but you like your chances the longer you get to avoid them. If I am the coach and the players though, I’m playing to win. I would have an easier time moving on knowing I played my best and that I played to win. Even if the other team I face might be better maybe we get on enough of a roll that it carries over.

I just don’t think it’s a good mentality. I understand that they may not match up well against the US, but you need to have the attitude that you want to beat the best to be the best. They should want to play the US.

Its some bs,but thats their plan. They knew coming into the tourney that they wanted to travel the road of least resistance. As it seems that plan might backfire because a few teams(frenchmen,aussies,and Luthiania) are playing much better than expected.
