tigers04ParticipantNow I was just thinking today, what are the odds of baylor winning a national championship in the next 5 years?
Hear me out I’m not sayin they will or won’t, but I’m curios to what people think.they are starting to get some one and done kids coming recently(jone, austin next year) and always have some nice 3-4 year players, with the right class I could see it possibly happening
What’s everyone else think?and I’m not a baylor fan either0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/31/2010 - 9:02pm #391592

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThey have the talent to win it all this year..if they can find some way to makeup for the lost of Carter

TRC1991Participantthey’ll still be very intimidating defensively bro…quincy acy is a shot-blocking machine and anthony jones and perry jones are super long with potential to be great shot blockers

PaulsJayhawksParticipantBut Baylor makes me nervous. I think they have a chance to be real good this year and if he keeps nabbin recruits like Austin they will continue to be good.

JoeWolf1I think Quincey Acy will blow up this year, he has Ibaka like athleticism and game and altough he is rough around the edges, with another year of coaching and experience I look for him to be a defensive force at the forward position next year.

JNixonParticipantPut it this way. Baylor, not Kansas, is the team I’m most worried about K-State playing. They have great pure talent this year and even though they lose Carter and Udoh, they add Perry Jones and have an elite scorer/player in LaceDarius who can go on game-changing scoring sprees with ease. They have a chance to be a force for the next 5 years

PureshooterParticipantBaylor’s roster in recent years has reminded me of Wake Forest. NBA talent, but not enough consistency.

JoeWolf1Really Pureshooter? I disagree, Baylor is a team on the rise, so they are getting more talent and building a basketball program. They really have a lot of momentum as a program and its not that they are inconsistant, its that they’ve risen from being terrible 4 or 5 years ago. I feel Wake Forest just gets good players because they are in the ACC and I feel their program has been a little stagnant for the past couple years.

midwestbbscoutParticipantbadass…complete combo guard plays both ends of the floor…and Scott Drew is from NW Indiana so he automatically knows everything about basketball….

JNixonParticipantStargell Love will be a fan favorite PG for Baylor. He’s very fast and athletic. I think they’ll start A.J. Walton over him, but Love will be a very good change of pace from Walton in a backup role. I’m thinking he’ll get the 17 mpg that Walton left open.

JNixonParticipantThere will be times where Walton, Love and Dunn play together, but that won’t be their starting lineup though. I think Anthony Jones is a better option as a natural SF spot than playing those 3 together in a starting role. Dennis and Jefferson will both be bench players. Dennis is a nice shooter and athlete, but he’s a year away from being a starter.
