kyle korver set the all time mark for 3 pt% in a season at 53% last year. He is by far the best shooter in the league. 53% is awesome for a fg% let alone 3.

Probably because of the volume of his shots. If Kyle Korver created or took more three point shots, or was near the top of the league in trey’s made, it would be open and shut. But, as is, he does not take very many, even if his percentage is bloody impressive. The reason I put Morrow ahead of Korver is due to the fact that while Morrow is not at Kyle’s insane percentage, he manages to make about twice as many 3’s as Kyle. You can say that it does not matter, and Kyle is still just a flat-out better 3 point shooter, but over time it definitely does matter. Morrow takes more shots maybe due to his role, but I also think he is flat out better at creating opportunities for himself than Korver. Maybe he will prove me wrong on the Bulls, but the reason Kyle has never taken 6 threes per game, like a player of his ability should, is because he has a lot of difficulty getting those shots. That would maybe be a reason you might rank Ray Allen and Reggie Miller as better three point shooters than say, Steve Kerr or Detlef Schrempf, who just could not create the volume of trey balls the former two could.
