Look at the Knicks players contracts…
Azubuike – 1 year, $3,300,000
Chandler – 1 year, $2,130,482
Curry – 1 year, $11,276,863
Douglas – 1 year, $1,071,000
Gallinari – 1 year, $3,304,560
Mason – 1 year, $1,400,000
Randolph – 1 year, $1,965,720
Turiaf – 1 year, $4,000,000
That is close to $30,000,000 dollars coming off their books. They will probably try to sign Gallo, Randolph, and maybe another but DAMN.. I didnt realize that they would have so much money available at the end of this year.. Im sure some of those contracts have options but still, that is alot of money to attract some very sold help for Amare…
Knicks could have another big offseason, LoL, or could be moving lots of expiring contracts this season.. They have some flexibility…

I doubt it. Melo won’t be a Knick. They can’t trade for him and he won’t be available come free-agency.

The Knicks will use player options on Randolph, Gallo and Chandler. I think they will shop Chandler for a future 1st rounder (2012 or 2013) and then look to add Tony Parker and maybe if Carmelo Anthony if he hits the open market.
If I was the Knicks, I would offer the max offer sheets to Joakim Noah and Al Horford. Either we get a legit big man OR the Hawks and Bulls have to pay the big money and could hurt there cap space.

except the difference between this years knicks team and last years is that they have a solid team this year AND cap space… not just cap space. If they miss out on Melo, I would love for them to go hard after either Gasol or Horford, both Memphis and Atl have been spending a lot of money for a small market team and the right price might get one of those guys.

Id rather go after Marc Gasol or Horford, much better players in my opinion….Noah is VERY overrated.
