and nenad krstic should pursue a career in mma after basketball. the guy had his chance and he couldnt make it. he is a very good player and maybe his confidence was low when he was here but he didnt take advantage of the oppritunity he was given so leave it alone.

I’m guessing he had a good game? I do agree that there is an adjustment period, especially for a guy that is a star player in one league that goes to another and sits on the bench. The NBA game is completely different from the rest of the international basketball. Most rookies struggle adjusting to being on the move all the time, the long season and the huge upgrade in athleticism. I’d like to see him come back to the NBA, but I’m not sure what the chances are, especially if you are here and not playing when you are 25, do you want to risk wasting your last few good years to come back over and possibly have to prove yourself and readjust again?

The funny thing too about Vassilis Spanoulis’ line from the game yesterday is that he did score 28 points, but did so with 1 assist, 3 turnovers, and
0 rebounds. His shot caught fire and he lit up the scoreboard. So by our friend European Baller’s rational a 28 point 0 rebound 1 assist 3 TO game in the FIBA World Championships makes you better than every point guard in the NBA except MAYBE Nash or Williams. lol

Spanoulis is a top European player but his game may just not be suited to the NBA. I’d agree that he would be a solid back up PG at best in the NBA.

Yi has done more in the NBA than Spanoulis but with injury and having been bounced around 3 teams he probably needs a settled role to show his best in the NBA. Hopefully Washington can give him that platform but he will be competing with McGee, Blatche and Seraphin for minutes with John Wall as his PG then he may well get better service than he has had so far in his career. He has developed slowly each year but this season is crucial with it being his contract year.
