Mr.Knick 32ParticipantMelo, K-Mart and Anderson for Bynum, Cash, Sasha, 3 1st rounders and Artest
That’s the deal I think would happen.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantBecause the Knicks didn’t get two top free agents at thier position this offseason. Because the Knicks didn’t get 3 solid players for David Lee.
Stanford, your right. Were just fantasizing.

really? your’e right because I read dozens of posts where Durant could be a Knick. I read NY fans writing on here that D-Howard will be a Knick. Come on man, give it a rest.

knick fans thinks everyone wants to be a knick. People have even made post about them so don’t get all butt hurt over the truth. This is where you throw me off. I’m confused: Did CP3 not have NY on his short list? Was NY not a team Melo wanted to go to? Did Parker and his wife not say NY was intriguing to them? LeBron never met NY for a meeting in Cleveland? Wade and Bosh didn’t meet with the Knicks?
Maybe I’m confused. Maybe I’m wrong here. Help me out. You keep saying we dream that but yet it’s those players who have NY as a option they wanna play for. I laugh when you say that about Knicks fans because it’s not true at all. That’s not even fair to believe that. I laugh because YOU know that’s not the truth. You just say that to stir up stuff. You can call NY fans crazy or whatever but go look up those players last couple months and NY has been linked to them and they linked themselves to NY.
Please, just get it right.

stanford hoopsIt’s one thing to say “we might get this or that guy” another when people ate saying it’s a sure thing and get mad when no one else agrees or if someone says other teams have a equal chance. You got it now? That’s as simple as I can put it so you’ll understand.
There are sum knick fans who look it it just like that. To them if a player mentions new York then it’s a sure thing. So yea I already got it right. You can check the archives to see all the proof of what I’m saying

BasketBalAllanParticipantWhy not go for broke and just trade Bynum for Dwight Howard, Sasha for Derrick Rose, and Walton or Odom for Kevin Durant? Sounds reasonable to me.

NYK2010ParticipantKobe, Melo, Gasol > Wade, James, Bosh
True though Wade is gaining on Kobe, main diff. is Gasol is the best big in the league not excluding Dirk caz he’s more of a perimeter player.
This trade for the Lakers isn’t likely to happen.
Unless the Nuggets are foolish enough to help the Lakers out.0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/29/2010 - 4:58pm #389600

meisi4Participanti agree the Lakers could offer a package including bynum to get melo but i just don’t know of they absolutly want to do it. i think they are fine with their team now and of course getting melo would a big thing but it would also a big shake up. chemistry whise because you will have to share shots with one addtional star. and rotation wise because adding melo is a great thing but on the other hand you give up bynum and by that a Big advantage you had last year: SIZE !
thats i think why LAL is not an option because they are fine with their team right now….to all the talk about crazy knicks fans: there is something to it: players would more likely go to NY than lets say minny right? does mean that they will always do it but i think NY is just one of the more attractive options for players. and every fanbase always speculates about star players that is just normal as long as you don’t say hey durant is a lock to come here for example…

NYK2010ParticipantTrue Lebron, Wade and Bosh were all going to play together.
Once Miami cleared the cap room it was all but done, they just left like the attention other teams paid them. Knicks would’ve been at worst a 3rd choice for Lebron if Miami didn’t have the cap room. No way he would stay on the Cavs with that roster. Carmello is a diff. case lets say he stayed the whole year in Denver, how many teams that wil compete would have the cap room to sign him only a couple. Also he’s an East Coast guy and if he wants to win most likely he’d come to the Eastern Conference. On the Knicks not getting players, whenever the Knicks have cap room they sign big name players. Whether it was this offseason with Amare or the last time they had a ton of cap room summer of 96 when they signed Allan Houston and Chris Childs. The problem before Isiah was they used to overpay their own players like Charlie Ward or Allan Houston’s 2nd contract. Some fans are still stuck on the idea of the Knicks being a mess like they were with Layden, Checketts, Isiah. This is a new regime and the big mistake they made was drafting Jordan HIll and then trading him away with 2 yrs draft picks for cap room. Only a couple of players remain from their and they are all young and of course Eddy Curry. Last year the Knicks had 1 of the worst starting PG’s in the league in Duhon, yeah he can run the team but he couldn’t make a shot and his defense was weak too. Not saying Felton is Steve Nash but he’s more than adequate and he shot better from 3’s than Duhon did overall. They had no shot blocking inside they ranked 29th now they have Amare, Turiaf, Randolph and Mozgov to help a front line that was very small. The young guys Douglas, Chandler, Gallo are all a year older and have some more exp. under their belt. Douglas should see a big increase in his role with Robinson gone. Their starting SG for a while was Hughes who was an inconsistent shooter esp. compared to Azubuike who if healthy could fit really well. With Azubuike, Gallo, Felton and Bill Walker the team has some solid shooters. Last year it was only Gallo who was consistent on 3 pointers.
I think ppl are overrating the signings of Kieth Bogans and Ronnie Brewer. Those moves mean very lil esp. compared to getting Boozer. Kyle Korver helps becaz he’s a very good shooter and last year they didn’t have a consistent one outside of Deng. I’m not a big believer that Noah is going to be a great player he’s a role player. He’s never going to be great on offense and he’s not the shot blocker or rebounder that Ben Wallace was. The team will go as far as Rose can take them but their definately much improved with Boozers inside as a 2nd option and Deng the 3rd option.

OhCanada-ParticipantCrealdeal I do think New York had a good offseason, but lets not undrvalue how well Chicago has done. Boozer IMO fits better in the Bulls gameplan, they acquired a shooter in Korver, a physical and athletic defender in Brewer, a mix between a shooter and a defender in Bogans, a strong defensive post presence in Thomas, and a young PG who can score in bundles in Wtason. The big difference is all of these players aside from Watson have had important roles on successful teams and they didnt just get talent in qauntity they got talent to fit roles.
