IknoBall12ParticipantThe crossover is prob 1 of the coolest/prettiest moves in the nba.But i notcie some people go completely nuts when it happens even if sumbody doesnt score. Tim Hardaway was 1 of my fav crossover artist. They guy was jus insane with his. Iverson was also a master. But im noticing today people fall in love with it too much and get very predictable with it. I jus watched austin rivers crossover on John wall. many of u have already seen it. my thing about it is u hear oohhs and aahhs but austin really didnt jus shake wall out of his shoes or anything. he jus got by him and went to the basket. Im starting to hate when people go nuts on a crossover and the defender is still keeping up or guarding their man. an dthen the fans is excuse is always “hey it looked pretty tho he almost got him”. WHAT! wat the hell kinda excuse is that? i know somebody else on this site knows wat i mean

jas225ParticipantPeople like to see good moves, good plays. When they see it the react. Its human nature. The goal of the crossover is to get by the defender, so then austin was successful.
Even when the crossover leads to a missed J or a missed layup it can still be impressive even though the end result wasnt there. Do you remember Shannon browns missed dunk attempt in the finals? That was crazy. Everyone reacted to it even though it missed.
I never really see people go nuts on a crossover when the defender sticks with him.
When done nicely the crossover is a sweet move, i have no problem with people getting excited over it.0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/29/2010 - 2:10pm #389366
