ChewyParticipantThe Nuggets said they would not be held hostage like Cleveland and Toronto did. They said they would be willing to move Carmelo this season if it looks like they can’t retain him with an extension.

ChewyParticipantCarmelo Anthony and JR Smith for Rip Hamilton and Prince. Denver’s roster would look like this:
Billups
Hamilton
Prince
Martin
NeneThe new formation of ‘Detroit Pistons West’

HotSnotParticipantIts all well and good that “The Nuggets said they would not be held hostage” but realistically… what kind of market will there be for Melo unless he provides assurances to the acquiring team that he would be willing to sign an extension with them? You can’t sell the farm in a trade for Melo if you know he’s not going to resign with your team anyways. It would be a duplicate of Denver’s current situation.

ChewyParticipantif they think the Knicks should (or would) trade some wing players, Eddy Curry’s expiring contract and some draft picks for the chance to offer Carmelo the most money in free agency next summer.

sheltwon3ParticipantI made a post about Melo to the Knicks and got clowned well before these reports so it is funny how that news came out and not many people made a post about it but they all over that trade and that Lebron twitter.

TC_42ParticipantI would shoot my pants if Chewy’s Pistons-Nuggets trade happened.

Moon RiverParticipantLuol Deng and Noah (and throw in salaries to make the numbers work) for Melo Anthony. I like that better for the Nuggets than Rip/Prince. The only downside is Deng’s large and lengthy contract. However, he is a servicable small forward.

ChewyParticipantthat Carmelo is definently not “untouchable” in trade talks anymore.
Maybe, Deng, Johnson and some picks for Carmelo. Bulls try to bank on Carmelo wanting to play next to Rose. I dunno, no trade really seems out of reach when the team w/ the better talent feels they are going to lose him anyway.

dwat4444ParticipantMelo and Aflallo to the nets for Outlaw, Favors, Williams, Petro and picks? NJ or should i say brooklyn would have Harris, Morrow, Melo, Murphy, and Lopez. Thats a team that can challenge in the East IMO. Plus, they could try for Paul. I threw aflallo in there because otherwis the nets would be pretty thin on their bench

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI think the Knicks are looking to make a move. They have like 7 wings. I think they might look to move some of them in some small deals for like 2nd round picks.

NarcParticipantThe Knicks are definitely going to make some moves. Expect Eddy Curry to get dealt. Another team to watch IMO are the Kings…I can see them moving one of those wings that they have (Garcia/Greene/Casspi) for some talent.
