Which team will come out with the better record in the New East: The Bucks or The Wizards? Two teams with some serious talent, young guns at the point, no nonsense coaching and some serious weapons. How deep could they go?

    Heat, C’s, Magic, Chi-Town.
Those are my picks for the top 4 seeds, not in that order.
I expect the Bucks to be one & done in the Playoffs. They can’t beat any of those teams in my opinion unless they pull off a major upset. If The Wiz make the playoffs, there is no way they can beat any of those. Wall is good, but he ain’t that good.

The Bucks have a lot of good pieces w/a deep bench. They are still an above average power forward away from beating the Heat, Celtics, Magic or Bulls. but they still have a good team that can compete.

Even with Wall and Flip, I dont see the Wizards having a break out year. IMO, McGee, Wall and Blatche are all still a year away from becoming ready to compete in the East.

i like the bucks and was pullin for them last year. Even had them as my AV in the playoffs. But i think the buck love is getting a little overboard. Maggette, gooden and dooling are solid, but those ar not guys who are gonna scare the big 3 out east. Jennings and bogut are the truth, and they have some other solid pieces in salmons and delfino, but im not gonna put them past the celtics or orlando. They need to worry about just getting out of the first round. They wont creep up on nobody next year.

I was thinking the Magic could be a good matchup as well for them.
I think Bogut could do some damage on Offense even with Dwight & contain him ENOUGH for them to upset.

With the Bucks it all depends who they get in the playoffs if they get Atl again this year and Bogut is healthy I can see them beating the Hawks if they happen to run into the Heat, Magic, Celtics then it’ll have to be a major injury to one of there stars or just the best defense we’ve ever seen, played by the Bucks

I’m a big fan of both teams, but there is no doubt in my mind that the Bucks will have a better record than the Wizards. I think Milwaukee could go 45-50 wins this season, which would get them 5-7th seed in the East, maybe 4th. Washington is a ball club that may not even make the playoffs, but they might win about 40 games. The Bucks bench is deeper than the Wizards, but Washington’s second line is better.

    Bucks
    Dooling
    Delfino
    Luc Mbah Moute
    Ersan Illysova
    Larry Sanders

    Wizards
    Hinrich
    Nick Young
    Thornton
    Trevor Booker
    Yi Jianlian

The Bucks will definitely have the better team of the two, probably a playoff team again. The Wizards have A LOT of growing up to do, and coming together as a team. Wall will help a ton, but I see them losing a lot this season due to inexperience…not a bad sign, all young teams go through it, just something that will help them grow…

The Bucks will and should be a much better team than the Wizards the next 2 years, but in terms of potential the Wizards could potentially be a top 4 team in the East down the line once Wall, Mcgee, Blatche, develops further and they see if Arenas is projected into the future of the team. The Bucks I kind of see in the position of the Atlanta Hawks. They will be a perennial playoff team the next 5 years but I can’t see them seriously contending at any time, they have too many financial handicaps. I do believe though that the signing of Josh Howard all of a sudden makes the Wizards starting 5 really complete with a good bench. With Kirk Hinrich, Nick Young, Al Thornton, Yi, and either Booker or Serpahin you all of a sudden have a quality backup for almost every position. Two things will dictate the wizards early on, if Wall and Arenas can gel together like Arenas and Hughes did in 04/05, and if Javale Mcgee and Blatche could perform together as last year it seemed like Javale would only play well when Blatche was out. On paper though they should be perfect complements since Blatche loves to float around the perimeter and start outside/in, while Mcgee likes to go for the boards inside.

I think Scott Skiles is more of a teacher than Flip which i think is the key for both of these young teams. Yea the Wizards have tons of young talent and a little experience with Arenas,Hinrich and Howard, but Andray Blatche I believe will be the downfall to their success. He has tons of talent and i see him putting up big games but his work ethic, attitude, and inconsistancy will ruin John Walls rookie year. The Bucks core have better chemistry and a fresh memory of the playoff apperance from last season.

on how wall and gilbert play together. if they play well like i think they can i believe the wizards can be a scary team. but if they have a little trouble they could be back in the lottery again next year. th ebucks are a dark horse now in my opnion. i think they will be a good team but im really excited about them picking up larry sanders. i think the guy has the potential to start by the middle of the season and be a big factor on the boards
