WrecklessParticipantDoes anyone know if Rafer Alston is getting any interest in teams? I dont know what happened to him, so maybe some of you guys can tell me. I haven’t heard anything about him in a while.
Is he retired or something?

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI hope he is, he’s someone who could still be a backup. A year ago, he was tearing up Mo Williams in the ECF.
I think a team like Charlotte, Indiana and Toronto should be looking at him IMO.

NashyMingParticipantAlston was playing last year (I think in Miami). However, he left the team in the middle of the season with no reason and ended up got suspended and that was it for him last year.
Recently, a report came out that Alston’s twin sister has serious mental health issue that Alston had to cut short his season to take care of her (attempted suicide).
Now that apparently, she’s fine, Alston had been looking for a job, but then I guess most teams have forgotten about him already.
I think he can still be a pretty good backup PG. As long as he knows his role and accepts a lesser role, I think he should be able to find a job. He can still play.

knicks82ParticipantHe said a couple months ago that he would love to play for his hometown Knicks. That being said, the Knicks do need a backup pg. cause rite now its just Felton and Toney Douglas as his backup…Douglas is a combo guard so Id like the Knicks to get some insurance behind Felton.
