Now since the Cavs-Wolves trade went down, what is everybody’s opinion on Ramon Sessions’ future? Im asking this because he shown flashes of brilliance with the Bucks having 24 assists against the Chicago Bulls and 44 points and the Detroit Pistons.

Personally I think this is an excellent chance to shine in a more free-forming offense(unlike T’wolves triangle) and should do really well. Call me crazy but I also think he will be the starting PG for the Cavs. The Cavs will either trade Mo Williams, or play him at a SG role ala Jason Terry. IMO Ramon Sessions is one of the NBA gems that can develop into a quality player and a solid rebuilding piece for the Cavaliers.

If the Cavs can just drop Jamison and Mo Williams they’ll have a solid core to rebuild with. I haven’t seen Sessions play too much, but I’ve only ever heard good things about his game. If the core of Hickson, Sessions, Varejao and Moon are given minutes they will at least push for a playoff spot in a year or so given the quality of coaching they have. Now they just need a young SG…

If I remember correctly, Mo Williams has an ETO after this year. Given we don’t know what the next CBA will look like, it isn’t a guarantee that he will opt out, but it would take quite a bit of money being taken out of the cap for him to want to spend the final years of his 20s on a rebuilding Cavs team. Sessions will back him up this year, and I would expect that he will start the year following.

If one figures Jamison and Williams aren’t in their long-term picture, they have no centerpiece but that is what their next two top ten picks will be about.

    PG: Sessions (24)
    SG: Gibson (24), Green (23)
    SF: Eyenga (21)
    PF: Hickson (21), Powe (26), Samuels (21)
    C: Varejao (27), [Kaun (25)]

A nice open spot is going to be there for that top ten wing pick. Cavs fans ought to get a look at the schedule for UNC, Baylor, and Kentucky.

Harrison Barnes would be the best thing to happen to the Cavs since Lebron

I hope Session can get more than 25 minutes a game playing both guard spots. Sometimes it is all about being in the right situation because if he could start man, people would see.
