Rookie SF Marqus Blakely is signing a two year partially guaranteed contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, his agent Sam Porter tells us.

Im surprised hes the 2nd undrafted free agent to get signed, not to mention a dissapoint summer league, whaddyathink about him? NBA talent?

It wasn’t all that promising that the late 2nd round pick Willie Warren and undrafted Marqus Blakely looked more ready to be in the NBA than Aminu and Bledsoe, but the Clippers have to fill out a roster and Blakely can be a live body when most of the team quits around mid-February.

Blakely is a NBDL talent at best, but his length and athleticism will make him a fun player to watch when he gets in at the tail end of the 1st half of games. He’s a Mario West type, who’ll give you 10 hard seconds and maybe even get you a breakaway dunk

He’ll practice hard and play hard when he gets in. It is a 15th man on the roster, they are all basically NBDL talents who have the maturity to accept their role as practice player, good teammate, and ready for whenever their number gets called.

he was there best player in summer league. he is a good role player to have. plays defense well, can play great help d, runs the floor well, the best shot blocker the clippers have, efficient on offense. he can improve a lot since hes transitioning to a new position sf. and he can get the crowd on there feet.

i think he can be a tony allen type of player. he’s the type of player you want filling out your roster. plus he is only 22 and has shown the work ethic to improve as he has every year since college. great character
