No, who is he? Just kidding. I think he is actually under appreciated for how good he was and what he brought to the table during the majority of his career. He was selfish, but he still got 8+ assists. It all went down hill when he went to play for larry brown and brown woldnt let him do his thing anymore, tried to turn him into a natural pg, which isnt his strength. It’s like telling Iverson to be more like John Stockton, wasnt gonna work.

Everytime i hear about marbury and steve francis it just makes me sad. Both were dynamic guys (they played different than one another obviously) and they ran the show and were the talks of the town in their respective towns. I honestly think steve francis just lost interest. He still had the athleticism but i think he ‘got over’ playing pro ball. Marbury was in the wrong situation and i think he just lost confidence in himself, something that seemed impossible at the time when he was on top.

Nothing drives me more crazy than Stephon Marbury. The guy was one the most physically gifted point guards who had skills to go with it, but the only thing he was missing was a heart. If he truly cared about winning instead of himself, he would for starters still be playing, but I believe led teams deep into the playoffs. Maybe even a ring.

Marbury was and still is one of my favorite PGs ever. Last I checked of active player assists he’s still like 4th on the list and he hasn’t even really played in 3 years. Is he still playing overseas?

Marbury was an elite scoring point guard. Scoring point guards rarely win you ring as the number one option Isiah is the only one that come to mind at the moment. If marbury could have been cool with being the number two guy on the squad his game would have been appreciated much more and he would have played in way more meaningful game and yes i think even a ring as a number two. He messed up when KG got the 9 figure contract and he felt disrespect he wasnt offered one. If those two would have developed together a steph played robin roll with heart………… just imagin
