RUDEBOY_ParticipantAccording to The New York Daily News….The Heat contacted former All-Star guard Stephon Marbury thru the NBA Players Association about joining their team..
Marbury told The People’s Daily of China,”That The Heat wanted a point guard”.
But he don’t see how he would fit in with those 3 guys…And with 2 playmakers like Lebron & Wade a point guard like him willn’t do much..Marbury played last season in China..And said he’ll love to return to the NBA if he gets the right offer….0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/23/2010 - 5:30pm #361647

MagikKnickParticipantApparently, when they offered him his contract there was a “no vaseline clause”, so he had no choice but to reject the offer..

sayounhParticipantMarbury is averaging 22 ppg and 9 apg with the Shanxi Dragons. He has a tattoo of his Starbury logo on his face. He’s got it made. Give all that up for a championship in the NBA? You’re crazy.

sheltwon3ParticipantI doubt Heat win this coming year so it may have been a one year deal that he balked at. It still would have maybe given him a better chance to showcase his talents but I guess he loves it in China.

romeeezybabyParticipantI’d trade places with him in a heartbeat. Give the guy a break. He’s obviously going through some issues.

doubledribblerParticipantI agree with his choice. The guy obviously has problems, but he just had a good year. They probably loved him in China and he probably got to be the ball dominant guy that he likes to be. No matter how good he is or isn’t, he doesn’t fit in with the team. He can’t shoot and he plays best with the ball in his hand. There is no guarantee that he is going to get to play if he goes to the team. It’s also likely he takes a nice pay cut and there is no guarantee the Heat win it all. If he is their hope to win it all then they are in serious trouble. The last time we saw him, his confidence was down and his game had seriously fallen off while he was playing with the Celtics. Besides when it’s all said and done, I’m not sure he can deal with the pressure of playing on a contender in the NBA right now. The guy is pretty beat up mentally.
