WizardofOzParticipantThis is just my opinion, but I think they should trade him. You just never know what’s going to happen to him next.
First of all, he has the worst contract in the NBA. The rest of his contract has him getting paid $80 million over the next for years. A guy that has only played 47 games over the last 3 seasons is definitely not worth that kind of money. He’s also not getting any younger and he’s on a team that is trying to rebuild.
Second, I don’t know how he and John Wall are going to work. After seeing John Wall play in the SL, I just know how it’s going to work because John is so ball-dominate and so is Gilbert Arenas. I know they’ll move Gilbert to SG, what is he going to do, be a “Catch-N-Shoot guy”, I don’t think so.
If the Wizards can’t find away to trade him, they should try the backcourt of him and Wall. If Gilbert can play the same way he was playing a few years ago, I truly believe that this can be one of the most dangerous backcourt’s in the league. And I know Gilbert will be more motivated to not make any more mistakes and to play hard knowing that his career is hanging by a thread.
