RUDEBOY_ParticipantAll seems to be forgetton about the rift Kobe & Artest had during the playoffs when Artest was with the Rockets..
Artest is now a member of the World Champion Lakers..
A few weeks ago Kobe tried to bring another former nemesis in Raja Bell to the Lakers..But Bell signedw ith the Jazz..
Now Yahoo Sports is reporting the Lakers might sign Matt Barnes to a 1 year dal..
Who can forget Barnes faking an attempt to throw the ball in Kobe’s face? But Kobe didnt Blink…..lmao

RUDEBOY_ParticipantHahahaha Kobe supplied us with 2 of the funniest moments this year..The other 1 was him ignoring Chris Rock

abriggs06ParticipantBasically Kobe is trying to through up the biggest middle finger to the entire league with the moves that have been made. And lets just throw this in: think if (and its a big IF) Chris Paul comes to LA………..

RUDEBOY_Participantthe Hornets will be some dumb buttholes if they send CP3 to a team in the same conference ..Creating a superteam in the west…unless they can get Bynum in return…

stanford hoopsLol. That’s basketball for you. You can get in arguements or fights on the court with a guy but that doesn’t mean u don’t like them. Just very competitive

SteroidParticipantThe Lakers will have A LOT of depth at the SF position if they get Barnes. IMO, Barnes is one of the best role players out there. He can slash, shoot the 3, gets on the boards and not to mention he strong suit is defense. The Lakers definitely need some more athleticism on their bench right now.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantCompetitors like other guys who are cut from that mold. This isn’t new. When Jordan was preparing for his comeback with the Wizards, he got his ribs broken by Artest when the two got into a fight. The next year, Jordan was praising Artest’s competitive nature. Nobody wants a teammate who is going to back down when the going gets tough.

llperezbut the point is the same regardless. Competitors love people who wont back down and will get in your face.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIt is one of the great hush hush Jordan stories. The story goes that Jordan was talking trash about Artest being from the projects. Things escalated, they tuscled, Artest threw Jordan to the ground and cracked two of his ribs. They made up some story about it happening during the course of the pickup game, but nobody ever explained how it happened. The best part of the story was Jordan saying he loved Artest’s game the next year.
There really ought to be a website dedicated to Jordan stories. Him punching Steve Kerr. Bill Cartwright almost killing him. Jordan running Rodney McCray into retirement when he was trying to guard him in practice while severely constipated. He really was an awful teammate, but he was like Alonzo from Training Day. If someone played with Jordan for 18 month, some NBA team would give that guy a contract that he could retire on.

SlimParticipantLakers already are a superteam
Chris Paul would make an ultra team

huff09ParticipantIs not going to LA. Not a good fit at all for the triangle, would thrive in a pick and roll offense (Orlando).
