I think originally scouts were pretty underwhelmed by the class of 08 in HS, but so far almost every top pick from the class has exceeded expectations (with the exception of BJ Mullens)

Tyreke and Brandon Jennings have emerged as franchise players and should both be extremely sucessful for a long time….

Derozen and Jrue Holiday both became starters for their respective teams… and both looked to have improved significantly based on their play in the Summer league…both look promising and have long careers ahead of them

Then in this year’s draft, Greg Monroe, Al-Farouq Aminu, Gordon Hayward, Paul George, Ed Davis, Luke Babbit, Jordan Crawford, and Elliot Williams round out all the 08 first rounders in the last two drafts…

All looked impressive with maybe the exception of Jordan Crawford and Elliot Williams, who no one really expects to wow people from the get go anyways….

Overall, the class of 08 has surpassed expectations in my opinion, and seems to be a class that thrives on skill set much more than physical abilities, which is interesting to me…

How does everyone think the class of 08 will stack up over time?

Definitely could end up being as good, or better than the 2002 class that featured; Melo, Chris Bosh, D-Will, Amare, Brandon Roy, Felton, Redick, Jarrett Jack, CJ Watson, Andre Igoudala, and Randy Foye.

There are other 2008 prospects that are currently still in college, and are projected to be 1st rd draft picks somewhere down the road; Kemba Walker, Jamychal Green, Howard Thompkins, Tyler Zeller, Iman Shumpert, Malcom Lee, Markieff Morris, Klay Thompson, Mike Rosario and Isiah Thomas.

id take tyreke evans over chris paul and deron williams any day. if your 6’7 and a pg and average almost 20 5 and 5 in your rookie season you deserve to be called one of the best. jennings in my opinion is a better shooter passer and overall teamate then allen iverson ever was ( he took his team to the playoffs and went to game seven with john salmons as his wingman )
and steph curry is steph curry…butter. just watch
