    “OMG, He left Cleveland!”
    “OMG, His legacy is destroyed!”
    “OMG, Jordan called out LeBron!”
“OMG, he quit on his team!”

Stop it. Just stop it. There have been many players who left their team to seek a championship(s). If Tony Parker leaves SAS to go to NYK, isn’t that the same thing LeBron did? If that’s not a good enough example, lets use a couple of the greatest players of all time.

Shaq, after 4 years with the Magic, he didn’t get it done. He left for LAL.
Malone, after 14 seasons with the Jazz, he left them.. For what? To try to win a championship in LA with 3 other future Hall of Famers.
Payton? Yeah, he did the same thing.

If the Lakers would have won the championship in ’04, would anybody of taken anything from them? Why not? They had 4, count em, FOUR Hall of Famers while there are only 2 on the Miami Heat at the moment.

What about the Boston Celtics of now? KG left his team after not winning. Allen left his after not winning. Same thing right? 3 future hall of famers.

Did Dennis Rodman team hop to win championships?

Many players do this to win championships, why is it only wrong when LeBron does it?

KG got traded because the Wolves realized his career was winding down but he would still command max money, they couldn’t commit to that. Tony Parker would be leaving a stacked yet aging Spur team. LeBron left a weak Cle team. Orlando didn’t offer Shaq an appealing contract. He might of stayed if they did. Most of these examples you give aren’t just one side of the parties feeling they should leave, there is mutual agreement from player and teams that they should part ways. LBJ left Cleveland in his prime even after getting larger offers from Cleveland. I can’t blame the man though. A player should’t be a slave to do the right thing. LeBron is his own man and can do wtf he wants.

I’l be as concise as i can even give a sh!t to be at this point.. regardless of my personal opinions.
I see that the main problem is people dont think the prospective future GOAT should have to team up with 2 other top ten (Bosh is top ten IMO) players in his prime, to win a championship.

The main reason im even commenting is just to agree; enough of it already. At the end of the day, its going to be some jawdropping basketball. Im also pretty sure that the elite teams in the league wont let the Heat waltz to a few titles. We will witness some great matches, series’ and rivalries because of this move, whether it was the ‘right’ move or not.

You’re not looking at the trades or FA signings in context..

No, if Tony Parker goes to the knicks, it wouldn’t be the same thing. First, Tony Parker is not nearly the dominant player LeBron is. Also, Tony Parker wouldn’t be going to a team with an established Knicks superstar who has already won there. Regardless, the comparison you made is not good just because Parker isn’t a franchise player like James.

Also, Shaq didn’t go to a team with a proven superstar. It’s arguable that he went to a situation that was worse, at that time, than what he was in at Orlando.

Malone and Payton were washed up when they went to the Lakers. Now if Malone and Payton were 26-27 yr olds and joining Shaq and Kobe, then that would be different.

Dwayne Wade won his championship with multiple hall of famers on his squad and nothing is taken from him. The fact is: Dwayne Wade was the driving force on that that. That was his team! This is the reason why LeBron is being criticized. LeBron is joing Wade’s team which Wade won a championship with when he was the driving force of that team.

KG, Allen, and Pierce are great players, but none of the won nothing but individual accolades until they got together. All three of these guys were starting on their downside of their careers when they got other.

Dennis Rodman’s situation can’t be compared either. Similar to the Tony Parker situation. LeBron is a franchise player. He means much more to a team than Dennis.

    Ok…
So tony parker is in no way close to the type of player lebron is AND he won 3 championships while there. SA has stuck with the same formula for a LONG time and its obvious that that team is on the decline and probably wont be winning any championships with that same core. Its time for parker to leave because he’s getting older and hes gotten out of that team what he was going to get.

Malone was past his prime when he left and he got beat twice by none other than michael jordan on his way to trying to win his championships. Lebron is in his prime and its like he’s succumbing to the amount of difficulty it takes to win a championship with him being the centerpiece

If the lakers had won the championship in 04 they wouldnt have had the issue miami faces because THEY WERE ALL OLD besides kobe and shaq kind of. They basically did what boston did in 08, a bunch of hungry vets past their prime who really wanted a ring and it just didnt work out like it did for boston.

KG had NO HELP. The one season minnesota made noise was when he had a bunch of old vets (sprewell, cassell not to mention his other front line guy was michael olowakandi) and when he left he was at the point where he was losing a step and soon wouldnt be able to handle the rigors of being the number one superstar guy anymore which is why he teamed up with ray allen, and paul pierce, guys who almost got to a championship and had been superstar players as well as number one guys and couldnt do it alone, so since they were all past their prime they came together. This new Big 3 has YOUNG GUYS all in their prime. Not the same situation as the other veterans you mentioned that were superstar players on other teams couldnt win it and then came together PAST THEIR PRIME to try and win rings

And dennis rodman was a free agent acquisition and obviously a hell of an acquisition. But he wasnt the player lebron is either. He was a great defender/rebounder but not a superstar guy

It’s considered “wrong” of lebron because he’s supposed to be the next michael jordan (at least thats how hes been hyped) and jordan never did that

KG mentioned if he could it all over again he would have left Minny earlier.

I see people say Lebron did not make the right decision.

He made the decision that was good for him so what makes that wrong.

This is not about right or wrong but poplar and unpopular.

He made an unpopular move and I am pretty sure he will not ever regret it.

Cant compare LeBron to any of those guys except Shaq and he only left because LA gave him the most money! All im going to say is Jordan, Kobe, Magic, or Bird left and all the other greats that left their teams went somewhere else where that team was instantly their team that wont be the case for Lebron this will always be Wades team.
