BasketBalAllanParticipantI am bored… Can you tell?
If the Hornets reach that midpoint of the season and are again, just short of making the playoffs I do not think that would bode well for their chances of keeping Chris Paul in 2 years. Why would a player who is easily top three at his position be happy with his team failing to build to success for multiple years in a row? A little bit like Bosh’s or Lebron’s scenarios, just a little less extreme. Should the Hornets look to trade him would this be a fair deal for them? Beno Udrih, Dalembert, Donte Greene, and the Kings unprotected first round draft selection in 2011, for Chris Paul and Peja.
I know it is random and unrealistic at the moment but if you look at it closely, there are more benefits than there first appear to be. Anyone care to comment on it?

White ChocolateParticipantIf Paul is going to get traded to Sacramento it is for Tyreke Evans.

CameronParticipantI see Collison being traded for an asset that will improve the team long before they give up Paul

llperezthat’s a terrible trade for new orleans. I mean, even in your hypothetical scenario where they need to dump him, that trade you mention sucks. Overpaid beno who also plays the same position as collison, an expiring dalembert, a guy in donte green who looks like a career backup and a 1st rounder that with paul in the mix is proabbaly gonna be no higher then 7 or 8. I think they could find somehitng better then that.
