BallinmvpParticipantWe all know that the summer league is just a taste to hold fans over till the season starts again but do you think that the underwhelming performences by top picks turner, favors, and hayward will carry over to the regular season or is it just rookie ”jitters” and them trying to find their niche. Also the Vegas summer league is by far the more exciting league and we should see more talent and competion when it starts friday night.

JNixonParticipantI think Turner will adjust by the time the season starts, and so will Hayward (to a much lesser extent though). Turner will be an immediate starter, and Hayward will be a back-end rotation player for Utah I believe.
Favors, on the other hand, isn’t ready to be a starter and I think he’ll struggle a good bit. He has a serious lack of aggression, and he has a hard time scoring if his shots aren’t created for him. He’s also extremely foul-prone in the low post, which is a problem since defense was the biggest compliment he had with Brook Lopez. I hope they have a bench PF that can defend and stuff right now until he’s at least ready to be a serviceable starter.

BallinmvpParticipantI am a HUGE favors fan and I’ve seen flashes of his off potiental with lefty, righty hooks and his high release on his jumper but I have to admit he has really let me down with his lack of asertion and effort. I do however think that as soon as he can give consistent Effort, with the emphasis on that; I think he can be a allstar. The real enigma is turner but its quite understanable with the progression that holliday has shown in this orlando summer league.
