SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantThe Eastern Conference is getting really exciting with guys goin from West to East (Amare to NY, Boozer to Chi)
Between Chicago, Orlando, Boston (assuming Allen re-signs they’ll have one last go), Miami, Whoever LeBron signs with (Cle or NY or NJ) the playoffs next year could be really exciting on the East side, whereas on the West side right now it seems like LA should get through again (its a bit early to tell, but i dont think OKC is quite ready yet)
I mean look at the possible matchups:
Rose/Boozer… Wade/Bosh… LeBron/Amar’e… Dwight Howard/Nelson/VC… Rondo/KG/Pierce/Allen
I’m rooting for LeBron to NY because I want to see those 2 against Bosh/Wade in the playoffs

butidonthavemoneyFun stuff.
Don’t forget about Wall, Turner and Favors.
The East is on the rise.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantEast is getting younger and better. The west has aging stars. Portland and OKC are the future in the west as of right now.

sheltwon3ParticipantTrue but another year could change that plus dont count out the Kings and Memphis could surprise so people if they can get some quality depth.

llperezeast might actually pass the west as a conference next year. But Lakers arent going anywhere any time soon and the blazer and thunder are both legit. If denver keeps melo and uses kmarts huge expiring deal for somehting good, they will be in the mix for awhile as well. Look for houston to bounce back strong if yao is healthy.

wd40rocksParticipantIt is good to see the east is rising….it only took 10 years for them to get a position to match the west.

SubZeroParticipantDon’t forget about Milwaukee. Jennings is a baller

bkb77ParticipantThe east has 3 top teams returning in Celtics(if allen returns),Magic.& Atlanta(they overpaid for JJ,but they were a 50win team) & Now you add in the wade-bosh in Miami, & imagine if the Knicks get Lebron & Parker or Ellis, & dont forget about chicago getting boozer,& the bucks get Redd back & got Magette. Now I see 7 legit teams in the east, & the west is falling by the day, with spurs coming towords the end, denver who might lose melo after this year, jazz just lost boozer,& the suns lost amare. So that leaves still the best team in the NBA in the Lakers & the 2 young teams in Blazers & Thunder, So it looks to me like the East & West has just Flip-Flop with power & difficulty.

llperezthe east had more legit contenders last year in my opinion. I thought 3 of the top 4 teams were in the east. But depth is what gave the west the edge. There were teams finishing 10th or 11th in the west that might have made the playoffs in the east. If you didnt win 50 games last year, you didnt make the playoffs in the west. It will be interesting to see if the east does over take the west next year. I’ll repeat, dont count out houston as a contender. Brooks stepped up big and they will have kmart, ariza and jordan hill around yao for a full year now.

DaleoParticipantdon’t forget about the spurs, they’ve been getting younger. They have george hill, stole dejaun blair, got james anderson, have a overseas player (forgot his name), duncan is still doing his thing, same has ginobli. Also, i still think people should knock off the idea of lebron to miami, i mean i know that will allow him to “win on his own” but its still a possibility.

goneParticipantIt didnt care much for the Bosh signing in Miami but as the day went on I thought about it…….”Damn now we got Dwight Wade and Bosh 4 times each plus the bobcats are no slouch das 12 games we could potentially lose
Sad day as a Wizards fan 🙁
