d-ravParticipantWith the acquisition of Amare, should D’antoni continue playing small ball, as he did during his awesome tenure with the Suns by pairing the dynamic duo of Matrix and Amare (and later Amare and BoBo) at the 4 and 5 respectively, as well as this season also (Galo and Lee)? If so, would Galo remain as D’antoni’s man at the 4 (with his ability to spread the floor), alongside Chandler at the wing? And assuming TP is traded to the Knicks, what type of player (and who) would complement this lineup?
PG; Tony Parker
SG; ??? (what type/who)
SF; Wilson Chandler
PF; Galo
C; AmareSure they’d be horrible at D, but WOW, the firepower is immense. Just the way D’antoni likes em’.

ilike.panochasParticipantObviously Lebron would be the perfect fit for this “D’antoni Offense”/small ball, because Lebron also has the size and defensive capability to play a little bit of PF, so that Gallanari doesn’t have to play PF. Plus, someone has to play some defense with all these scorers on your team, Lebron is a 1st Team All Defender. But Im not sure the Knicks is the best team for Lebron to go to, I would consider Chicago or Cleveland before even considering the Knicks.

NarcParticipantYou know a lot of people aren’t considering that they might consider re-signing Tracy McGrady. Sure he’s never going to be the same T-Mac again, but he could be a decent 3rd option on this team, that is if they get another free agent. But guys like Anthony Morrow, Richard Jefferson, Ray Allen, would all be fits here so who knows what could happen or who could fill that 2 guard spot.

so their lineup right now will look something like this
douglass
walker
chandler
gallo
amarereally, the exact opposite of small ball if u ask me..

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantNo. Amare and D’Antoni talked and there should be NO small ball.

NYK2010ParticipantParker won’t be coming to the Knicks unless they move Chandler.
Spurs should consider that becaz RJ opted out.Small ball that won’t help bring in other free agents.
Problem is Parker isn’t a 3pt shooter.
Right now the Knicks need more 3 pt shooters for small ball.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:50am #347467
goneParticipantI think the knicks need to stop letting there fans dictate thier moves and just go develop young talent an keep the cap space you have go for some defensive althetic wing players like tony allen, javaris crittendon, take a chance on a young bigman like jason smith at a small price, or go after gortat send away chandler, try to get kyle lowry or collison and take a bad contract on and how bout keeping your picks sheesh
