knicksfreakParticipantWith all the talk of possible sign and trades of Lee to Minny or GS, I’ve been thinking about what young talent the knicks could receive in possible deals.
Minnesota does not have the pieces to trade for David Lee unless they make a lopsided deal that uses all of Minny’s 7 million of cap space. They could then make a deal for Sessions or Webster straight up for Lee. The Knicks would need to squeeze the rights to Rubio out of the Wolves for this deal to happen.
Golden State seems desperate to dump the salary of Monta Ellis. While I’m not a fan of using valuable cap space on a fragile undersized 2 guard in Ellis, he does have undeniable offensive talent and could play well under D’Antoni. We would have to grab Randolph from the Warriors to make the deal worth while for the Knicks.
Wilson Chandler is another trade piece the Knicks have.
He could be traded straight up for Anthony Randolph.
I cant find any other appealing trades at the moment but Chandler is a cheap piece a team could add to immediately contribute on both sides of the ball.

Manny_3187ParticipantTo put it lightly, The Knicks are the ones who dont have the “RIGHT” pieces to make these trades work.

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participantsymbol.. All you’re basically doing is swapping your bad team for another bad team. Doesn’t make you better.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantWell, if we don’t get LeBron
We should really look to get Monta Ellis. For one, he doesn’t eat up all our cap space so we can add to Monta, Gallo and Amare.

bkb77ParticipantIm convinced Tony Parker will be a knick(curry, chandler 1st), but I have also heard GS really wants D.Lee, so maybe D.lee straight up for Monta, but im still not convince of Monta being more than an AI wannabe. He’s a Small 2, he can flat-out score the basketball & when Healthy a great fantasy player, but I still dont believe that he is a NBA PG who will be a floor general & make everone else better, but if they cant get Tony Parker I think Ellis would still be an upgrade & might even be able avg 30ppg in D’Antonis Open Offense

Hoops MaestroParticipantSessions is a decent point guard, and under-utilized in Minnesota. I’d rather have him than Rubio, to be honest.
“Minnesota does not have the pieces to trade for David Lee….” No kidding. Minnesota had the worst roster in the NBA last year, and didn’t improve it in the draft this year either.

Manny_3187ParticipantYou’d rather have sessions than Rubio? wow no wonder your a knicks fan. Trust me we wouldnt trade rubio to the knicks anyways. You have no one of equal value that the wolves would want.

nl2niceParticipantwhy not a sign and trade david lee along with wilson chandler to the wizards for arenas and one of their bigs like javale mcgee or andre blatche. i dont se gil wit the wizards at the start of the season next year and if the knicks dont get lebron they should go after him. mcgee is an athletic big perfect for d’antoni system. blatche could work too. amare doesnt want to play center so getting one of them would allow amare to do his thing. the wizards could use help on the by acquiring chandler on the wing if they don’t resign josh howard and david lee i think just wants to get paid cuz if he cared about winning now then he wouldn’t show any interest in minnesota.
knicks starting 5
pg: toney douglas
sg: gilbert arenas
sf: danillo gallinari
pf: amare stoudemire
c: javale mcgee or eddie curry0 - AuthorPosts
