SteroidParticipantDo you guys think this is a smart pitch? This have either been a really stupid move or really smart move for Chicago, and honestly, I have no clue which one it is.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI have to ask. Why go follow a player’s legacy when I can go to a New York and create a similar if not better legacy?

SteroidParticipantThat’s the thing, and I got a feeling that LeBron wants to make his own legacy. With that being said, how satisfying would it be to LeBron if he went to Chicago and trumped what Jordan did in his career? If anyone can do it, LeBron can, and with his ego, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s up to the challenge.

DWadeBIWParticipantthat’s a stupid move and a very desperate one(even though everyone is desperate).

joecheck88Participanti have to ask what if he loses in new york? because new york will be nowhere near 7 championships. sorry, i dont think many teams will be. he only has like a 8 year window where he will be physically better than everybody then he will start a decline. he already wont catch jordan, he just needs to win a few to cement himself as top 5 all time because without rings he isnt.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantIf LeBron wins one title in New York or Cleveland? He will always be remembered as the man who saved either city.
If LeBron wins one in Chicago? He’s got 5 more to go to even touch the goat.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAlso, Trinajoe
You forgot Jordan lost the hops in 96 so he developed a mid range game. LeBron is 6-8, 6-9 so he could play some low post AND add a mid range game late in his career.

DWadeBIWParticipanttrinajoe, I guess that’s why LeBron is second guessing (other than the lack of talent atm) going to NY because NY will give him hell if he doesn’t get what they want.

SteroidParticipantJordan was 28 years old when he won his first championship, and LeBron will be 26 this year I believe, so assuming he stays healthy and his window starts now till 34 for his prime, he’ll have 8 years to win a championship(s) in that window. If he keeps talent around him, he could possibly win even more. Basketball players usually go into their prime at age 26-27. I think LeBron is more of a physical freak than Jordan, so his body might hold up longer, if he doesn’t get any significant injuries. Only time will tell though.

OhCanada-ParticipantI agree with Knicksboy why would he chase Jordans legacy. they shouldnt have put it that way. They shouldve chilled on the whole hype and expecations thing. Very very stupid move IMO. I hope Lebron goes to NY with STAT that would be so exciting for the sport. Anytime the Knicks played you know youd be in for an amazing game.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantEh, I’m gonna say it and be honest. The 3 things Stern wants?
1. Lakers relevant
2. Celtics relevant
3. Knicks revelantIf he could get all 3, I think he’d explode.
