CodySLCParticipantI have been hearing a lot in the local media about and sign and trade deal that would send Boozer to the Magic. In return the Jazz would receive a combination of the following players. Marcin Gortat, Brandon Bass, Mickael Pietrus, and or J.J. Redick. I have heard Vince carters name also, but i dont see him being involved due how much money he will get next season. I think his trade could put Orlando over the hump next year. And would make the Jazz a much deeper team as well.

Tdvols123ParticipantWhy would Utah do that? How much value would they receive with those picks? Utah is confident in re-signing Boozer otherwise they wouldn’t have drafted Hayward

dahoodrecruiterParticipantdats alot ..when you already have a 20-10 guy in the low post magic need a scoring pg that can make the nice touch pass to get dwight easy looks..jeemer is a good pg but to many times he cant see over the top and get dwight the ball when he is open

CodySLCParticipantI thinks its extremely doubtful that Boozer comes back to Utah. We went with Hayward because they felt he was the best player available. We already have Boozers replacement in Paul Millsap. A.K. will probably get the back up minutes at the 4 also.

dahoodrecruiterParticipantjazz are very high on millsap ….they feel if boozer leaves millsap can cum in and be ah 20-10 type of guy

JazzinSLCParticipantHasn’t impressed me in recent years. It’s highly unlikely the Jazz will be able to work out a sign and trade for Boozer. It’s more likely he walks and we get nothing but cap relief in return. Why the Jazz didn’t move him at the trade deadline last season still makes no sense to me. They are delusional if they think he’s coming back when he can sign with Chicago or Miami.
Also, I don’t like the way the Jazz are handling the Matthews situation. The longer they let things drag on, the more likely they will find themselves in a “Millsap/Portland” situation, where they will have to drastically overpay to retain him. The Jazz are just too passive in how they do their business. I didn’t agree with the Brewer trade either, especially if they knew they probably weren’t going to resign Korver this off season anyway. Why lose both guys, and only get a single draft pick in return? It’s very questionable whether the Jazz management really has a clue what it’s doing or not.
I hate to say it…but if this continues…Deron is as good as gone when his deal is up.

JazzinSLCParticipantAs teams like the Lakers, but their actions indicate otherwise to me. Just dipping your toe into the “luxury” tax isn’t the same thing as just diving all in. It’s time they decided whether they have the financial ability to keep up with the big boys, or whether or not they are just fooling themselves, and misleading their fans. They keep sending off mixed signals.
