    Amar’e Stoudemire was in New York on Saturday night and talked about who might eventually join him on the Knicks.

    “I’ve talked to Carmelo Anthony that he needs to come out here,” Stoudemire said. “I’ve talked to Tony Parker. Both guys are ready to join me if I decide to come here. So we will see if we can work it out.”

    Stoudemire will meet with the Knicks on Monday.

    “It’s one of the most historic franchises in NBA history. It’s a beautiful city. Madison Square Garden is definitely one of the most intriguing places to play. So they definitely have a few great points on their side.”

    He was non-committal when was asked whether he was disappointed about not returning to Phoenix.

    “The organization of Phoenix has been great my whole career,” he said. “I left my stamp on that organization as far as what we were able to accomplish. It was a great ride. So on to the next one.”

    Melo/STAT/TP/Gallo solid core veterans but young athletic run and gun they just need a defensive assisstant coach and a Center and a 2Guard then they would be contenders I love it

    Who will they trade for Melo and Parker though ? They will most likely have to give up Gallo if they want this to work.

    So who’s gonna play defense on that hypothetical Knicks team. Who will rebound and block shots on that hypothetical Knicks team? Not Amare or Melo.

    Im not trying to be a downer but…Amare isnt known for being a reliable source at all. He blatently abuses the media much worse than Bosh and is quite arrogant. as much as I would love to see Wade and Bosh in Chicago, Lebron in NJ?orCLE I guess….,and Melo in NY don’t be sold on it just because STAT said so.

    If NY gets Parker AND Melo it will be the biggest rip off in NBA history.WAY worse than what Minni got for Garnett and what Seattle got for Allen, and what Memphis got for Gasol.Even worse than what Toronto got for Carter.
