OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantWhat are your thoughts on Raymond Felton? Here are mine:
He hasn’t shown the speed and explosiveness that made him such a touted prospect coming out of UNC. I haven’t seen much of him since he came into the NBA (other than Jameer Nelson making him look like an overmatched high schooler during their first-round sweep), but someone else on here has probably seen him plenty of times. He’d surely be an upgrade over anybody that New York currently has at point guard, but I don’t know if he has the speed to really put up big numbers in SSOL.

joecheck88Participantagreed, he is an upgrade over duhon and rodriguez and douglas but i think he is overvalued as a player, i think farmar would be better than felton in new york.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI would love Felton to wear a NY Jersey next season.
The only thing that scared me is, I think he gained some lbs too many and he bombed in the playoffs.

joecheck88Participantexactly why i think farmar would be better than felton, even though he was a bench player more was expected of him than felton. i think farmar has more fire and competed harder, plus he could be cheaper.

scoutguruParticipantRay Felton just doesn’t show that same level of decision making and playmaking ability I saw at UNC, he also seems to take a lot of bad shots when i’ve seen him play. But he is a tough player who’s made a lot of big shots for Charlotte. Maybe a change of scenery in D’antoni’s uptempo offense, similar to what he played in college will bring that Ray back that we used to know.
And about the point thing, who even cares anymore, these ppl here just minus for whatever nowadays.0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/03/2010 - 12:23pm #346087

dahoodrecruiterParticipanti really dont feel his game i think @ best he is a back up point guard….but compared to duhon he is a upgrade {slightly}

sheltwon3ParticipantLuke Ridnour would be better for the Knicks because he can shoot and pass and neither he nor Felton can defend. Farmar can score and is more athletic than Felton and should be a better fit than Felton but I think Ridnour would be better than both of those guys but because of age I would go with Will Bynum, Kyle Lowry, or CJ Watson over both of them. Also even though he is old Jason Williams would be a better fit for one season than all of thee above but Knicks are looking at T Parker so they may not need any of these guys.
