llperezim hearing orlando is interested in carlos boozer. SO how about this:
orlando gets Carlos Boozer (via sign and trade)
Utah gets Marcin Gortat, Brandon Bass, and Mikael Pietrus
salries are off by about 700k assuming booze gets max. But with this utah gets good quality players in return who are not gonna be free agents any time soon so they have legit long term pieces. Gortat is a solid starting center. All 3 guys bring defense and toughness. Bass was poorly under used in my book last season.
Orlando might be losing too much, but’s all bench players and they can get possibly the perfect piece to start alongside dwight at pf. They can still fill out there roster with some decent back ups including possibly resigning reddick and/or barnes.
what do you guys think?

butidonthavemoneyI’ll take it!
So will Dwight Howard!
What a glorious day!
Booze is a perfect fit next to Howard. High-post, low-post. He can also run the pick-and-roll with Nelson.
I would cry tears of joy if this happened. I doubt it will though, Utah is trying to save money.

Forte IVParticipantit has its flaws, and it has its greats. for one thing it weakens the Magic bench alot, but I’m sure a number of fas would be willing to sign the min to play for a contender like Orlando. For the jazz it gives them alot of depth and keeps them in the playoff race for next season.

llperezyeah, orlando would be hurting theri bench. But ryan andersen is capable of being a back up pf. They have their mid level to adress a position or split it up into two positions. They keep carter and lewis (fortunately or not) to give them perimiter fire power. And if it doesnt work next year, carter will be coming off the bench and they can use money else where. But boozer could make them possibly even better next year.

meisi4Participanti think One of the more realistic Trade posts. it mostly comes down to boozer. if he wants to leave and leave towards orl than it really makes sence for both teams Utah becomes overall better and orl more starpower.
question is what booz wants?

richgatesParticipantI think this is a good trade, but according to “sources” Orlando is not interested in Boozer. Not that you can trust anything an agent says. I think this is likely the best scenario for the Jazz to get something in return for Boozer via S&T. It will be interesting to see how the dominoes fall after the top tier free agents commit.

IndianaBasketballParticipantPerez with the trade idea? That’s rare lol.
I think it’d be a good deal, but like it was said above… I don’t think Utah wants to take spend money.

JazzinSLCParticipantWould be willing to give up all three of those guys…maybe Gortat and one of the other two (possibly throw in a draft pick in return). Not sure if that works with the cap. Maybe the Jazz could work Fesenko or Koufos into the deal.
