Mr.Knick 32ParticipantDid he really just opt out? 16 mil a season?
Did he really just leave it all on the table? Is he acting like noone remembers this?

thparadoxParticipantHe looked horrible for the spurs this year… I think it’s nuts to leave 15M on the table… but who knows, it looks like the Knicks, Nets, Clippers… someone is going to want to sign a SF. And there is TONS of cap money floating around.
The question is, what can the spurs do now with this space?
I’d target JJ Redick and try to bring over Splitter.
Wonder how much Amir Johnson or Brendon Haywood would cost?

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTrading Tony Parker could get them Bosh…I have a feeling Duncan will be paired with a Star Forward…At the very least David Lee

Nugz10Participantthey were quite a bit over the cap before RJ opted out, so it may have to be some kind of sign and trade. I’m all for trading tony parker though, i think its time to move on and let george hill take over. Manu would be there anyway for some ball handling help if hill did need any pressure taken off. RJ was supposed to be a younger, athletic both defender and slasher for the team but never played that role, I think a wing that has those similarities would be ideal for them maybe Gay but he is probably going to be too expensive once that first tier of FA’s start picking their new homes.

llperezspurs must feel like they won the lottery. Seriously, Rj is gonna take 2 more seasons to get that 15 mill back. He might be a mid level guy right now after last season. Im thinking he had to be real unhappy there.
