KU PRIDE14ParticipantHe said he is giving it as least 1 more season and I think he can still ball on the court a team will pick him up

Ahkasi ClayParticipantthe question is not if he can still play.
it is if he is willing to play within a team system, and accept a smaller role.0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/26/2010 - 10:50am #342155

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantHe will get picked up by a team no doubt, but he needs to realize he is not the same player, if he accepts the bench role he could be pretty successful, could average 10-12 ppg and about 4 apg coming off the bench. I just do not see him accepting being a bench player though, he has too big of an ego but if miraculously he does decide to come off the bench for a team, he can be a major contributor off the bench to a good team in my opinion.

JJeff6Participantyea i agree, but what team could take him???? i’m thinking the only place where he’ll have a shot to start would be indiana. There he might be able to get the job, as truthfully…they have nobody better.

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantThe better question is, what team would actually want him, I respect Iverson a lot but he is a shell of his former self but his ego is too big to realize that, now of course teams will take a chance on him this year but like I said he needs to accept a bench role where he gets a reasonable amount of minutes otherwise I doubt any good teams really take any high interest in him. To be honest though I am not sure what team would specifically take him.

JJeff6Participantim saying indiana should go after him and give him his last shot in the league. thats the only team that comes to mind right now thathe could potentially start for. other than maybe the knicks??

kanebangerParticipantI used to love watching him in the playoffs with the sixers one of the best players ever. So short but was still amazing no one could guard him

Counting StarsParticipantI think a lot has to do with how much money Iverson is going to want. I doubt after last season a team would give him even the whole MLE. If he is willing to take the minimum, maybe a little more, I think some team will give him a shot in hopes of seeing glimpses of the old Iverson and selling some tickets.

JJeff6Participantyea and its good that his old family situation appears to be resolved so maybe now he’ll have 100% focus on basketball
