Is he going to Europe. If so WHY?

He was drafted 17 overall and is on a team with NOBODY!The team is rebuilding and doesnt need immediate impact.I sure hope he plays for the Wizards this year.

I hope he plays for the Wizards this year too, but he is really raw offensively and really needs to improve in that area. Most of the time he scores off a dunks and putbacks. If he stays in Europe for 1-2 more years, he can polish his offensive game before he comes to the NBA and staying in Europe could pay off in the long run for him and the Wizards.

    He needs another season overseas.

The Wizards have some players and most likely he will come over but he needs another season because he’s a big body but raw offensively. He would most likely help in a backup PF role.

Its seems like everyone with “potential” whos born over seas always winds up getting drafted over proven players. I hate this pick for the wizards… ive looked up videos of this guy and have seen nothing whats so ever that impressed me besides his big body. If we really wanted a big body then we should have drafted Dexter Pittman or someone who i am shocked that didnt get drafted in Omar Samham, the guy is a huge body and does have some skills, sure hes not a great athlete but he knows how to score and rebound, which aparently this guy Seraphin doesnt know how to do yet…. and its not like hes 18, hes 21!

I heard he’s raw and every scout report i’ve read pointed that out. I agree with jman159, another year will help improve him mentally, physically and fundamentally. Also, i was very surprised that he went at 17, it just seemed too early to pick a player that will probably be stashed away for a season or two.

His big body is not all he has.He has amazing positioning, motor, good agillity and toughness and hes strong strong strong. He knows how to get into position and never stops fighting for position.Plus hes very big.Throw him on the roster let him develop over here i really dont wanna see another International prospect get lost overseas.
