They filled there one need a Center with Cole Aldrich(even thought they reached using 21 and 26).
He is short at 6-9 in shoes, but it some how 6-11.25 in shoes, thick soles I guess.Pleiss is going to be great next year 2011, he had 8.5pts and over 6 boards a game in Euro League. He is 7-1.5 and moves very good at 250lbs, can hit the pull up transition 3 and pick and rolls well. Should be some where between Dirk and Yi on offense, is supposably pro ready on defense now.
Latavious Williams could be a home run or a real good backup to Durant, Green, and Ibaka at the 3 and 4.
I’ve seen him be compared to Patrick Paterson when he first went to Kentucky!0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/25/2010 - 4:01pm #341722

MagikKnickParticipantIt was a solid draft, but I feel like the Thunder could of done better, I know they targeted Aldrich, but I think keep all 3 of there first round picks would of got them better results
Nonetheless, it was a good draft, I wouldnt quite say great

wd40rocksParticipantYou do not want someone if you can compare their offensive game to Yi’s.

Yi being close to what his offense is now and potentially being like Dirk! With the fire power OKC has in Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden, and Ibaka, i think they would settle if he only get to be like Mehmet Okur. He already is a better rebounder and defender then all the people i named.

mgreener_34ParticipantMagikkick what more did you want them to do? Just curious because I thought they had a pretty solid draft. They didn’t give up Maynor like rumored before the draft, and still got a couple of big men. I know Aldrich isn’t Cousins or Favors but he’ll get the job done. The only thing I didn’t like was them trading the Bledsoe pick to the Clippers. They still could have gotten a lot out of that pick.

Blesoe will be good on Clippers, but Thunder should of used it or not let the Clippers protect the pick.
I guess it will be good next year to have 2 picks, more then likely they wouldn’t of been able to keep all the youth, they only have 2spots left now with Mo Pete and Cook on board.
So Aldrich gets one and Williams gets to wear a suit, unless they trade Collison’s expiring.

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantDid you expect anything less from the Thunder? Presti is a genius at drafting/trading, there whole core is from the draft, they have built a solid team to compete and contend for a championship in the next couple years.

fastdanParticipantThere just isn’t enough minutes for Bledsoe. He would have rode the bench all year unless there was an injury, and even then his minutes would be limited. Also Cole will be their 15th contract signed for next year, and I believe they are all guaranteed except for Weaver, so there was just no room for another player.
After this year Kristic, Collison, Peterson and Cook are all expiring so having a second first rounder will help them fill those lost roster spots for cheap. An excellent move by Presti, if you really think about it.
You can criticize them trading the 2 first rounder for Cole, but if you can tell which two players at those picks would have cracked their rotation, then I’ll agree with you.

They could of got another Euro player to stash though.
Bledsoe would not of been the pick if they would of kept it, more then likely they would of taken a big, trading the pick was a good idea though because the play was not going to play this year for them.
Hopefully the pick is the first out of the lottery beacause it is protected.

rtbtParticipantSelecting 2 Centers in this draft confirms what we knew all along, Presti made a big mistake last year when he selected BJ Mullens in the first round. That was a complete waste of a first round selection.
And I’ve said this many times before, even though I think Presti is a very good GM, he made a huge blunder by passing on Tyreke Evans, who will probably become a perennial All Star. Harden is another guy who needs the ball in his hands but he will never be anything more than a good player in the NBA.
