bkb77ParticipantScottie Reynolds went Undrafted last night. Im shocked that no team was willing to take a flyer on him. He is the 1st All-American to ever go undrafted. He was A Mcdonalds All-American out of HS, He’s won Big East freshman of the Year & Player of the year. He was a1st team All-american. I know he’s a small 2 guard who dosent have natural pg skills & is a high volume shooter, but he knows how to score, play,&win, I think with the right team he can be a nice player, im not saying an all-star or even a starter, but i think he could be a solid back-up PG\maybe even a top 6th man. Whats your thoughts on him & his future.

Meditated StatesParticipantwithout the playmaking skills. Do not think he can make a pro team.

bkb77ParticipantIm not saying he can play for all teams but if he could go to an up-tempo type team when you just have to go out there & be a basketball player, then I think he could do well

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIt depends on how much money he wants to make in the immediate future. If he goes to Turkey, Greece, China, Italy, or Spain, he will make more than he would in the NBDL. The difference, however, is that if he goes to the D-League and plays well he can get the mid-season 10-day contract and see what happens from there. If he goes abroad, there is a bit of out-of-sight, out-of-mind. A lot of guys who were labeled as “without playmaking skills” and “do not think he can make a pro team” end up working their way into the league the hard way. I’m not typically Mr. Sunshine and hope, but the standard for making a team and having a career on the back half of an NBA roster is different from being someone who is a money guy on the top half of a roster. There is nothing physically that will prevent him from being the next Will Bynum, J.J. Barea, Ronnie Price, C.J. Watson, Earl Boykins, Jannero Pargo, Travis Diener, Sundiata Gaines, Carlos Arroyo, Chris Quinn… all undrafted point guards by the way.

Meditated StatesParticipantAre better than him. Not saying he sucks, but he is not a NBA guard. Skill and athletic ability are not there. Shooting neither. Does not have the size or leaping ability. No finishing ability against nba caliber atheletes.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTe Knicks will be best to make this a role player…and looking at that squad Reynolds would start…Just stop looking at verts and wingspans….He’s the best available point guard undrafted and I hope My Sixers sign him to play a backup guard role…He’s no worse than Lou Will IMO and I watched them both a lot…I go to a lot of Nova games when they’re in town…

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantWhat kind of cop out comment is that? He is not an “NBA guard” because he doesn’t have an NBA job. It has nothing to do with skills or athleticism. The guys I named aren’t all athletic prodigies. Chris Quinn and C.J. Watson aren’t putting Reynolds to shame. Sundiata Gaines received about as much draft hype from the websites as Ryan Reid. Jannero Pargo had to scour the minor league circuit because he wasn’t an “NBA guard” until, of course, he was an NBA guard and playing meaningful minutes in the playoffs. J.J. Barea is not a dead-eye shooter, is as small as anyone in the league, and can’t jump at all. Four years after not being an NBA guard is now an NBA veteran. I’m not saying the opportunity will present itself to Reynolds, but it is beyond foolish to say that the other undrafted second and third string point guards that line the NBA are superior athletes and players.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantNo hating…why did he win Al American honors and Take a team to the final on a hard ass shot against 2 pros in Blair and Sam Young???

YSUFan10ParticipantI agree that Scottie Reynolds should have been picked, but he was not the best PG who didn’t get drafted, Sherron Collins was. I was very sorry for Sherron that on Draft Night he did not hear his name called.

Mr. 19134ParticipantI’ve been plugging Reynolds whenever I can on any board I could this whole draft process because he got not love and is a pure winner. He is a hard worker, a leader, a smart player, polished skill set, and is clutch. He got everything it takes to be an NBA player besides the contract….

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantI have always been high on Scottie, he is a good player who can be a solid backup player in the NBA, he is unselfish, great shooter, good at penetrating and finding the open man, can get to the rim/free throw line, he will find his way onto an NBA roster, hes gonna be the Matthews of this years draft, with crack the rotation of an NBA roster without a doubt in my mind.
